vtfpp: XCF support

It would be nice if there was support for XCFs. I do know that you can export a PSD from gimp but having support for the native save format of gimp would be useful, it would allow for gimp users to easily convert their files into VTFs without having to export a TGA or PSD, and allow for easy batch texture conversion for projects.

This is difficult because the XCF format possibly changes with each new version of GIMP and is not designed to be used in external applications. It would be nice to have, but right now I'm not feeling like writing another thousand lines of code, maybe one day I'll end up implementing support though. (And if someone else is reading this issue that knows C++, I take PRs and the place you're looking for is near the bottom of src/vtfpp/ImageConversion.cpp wink wink)

I second this issue. Support for XCF is something I personally looked into, but like Craftable said it's difficult to make. Especially given there is no good library for adding support, meaning it has to be written from scratch which'll require active support. It would be incredibly nice to have, but I don't see it happening any time soon if at all.
