The help thread — no question too basic. Installing, configuring the pipeline at any cascade level, choosing rarefaction vs SRS, reading a PERMANOVA table, asking why a stage refused.

A good question here has three parts, and they are the same three the bug-report form asks for, so they are worth internalising once:

1. What you ran — the command, or the steps in the web UI.
2. What you expected, and what happened instead — the message, the log lines, the panel that would not load.
3. The versions — your run's attestation.yml records the exact toolchain and the commit; pasting its versions block answers the first two replies in advance.

Two things that belong elsewhere, so this thread stays clean:

• A reproducible defect — same input, same versions, wrong behaviour every time — is an issue: use the bug-report template, where it will be tracked rather than scrolled.
• Whether a statistical choice is defensible — that is the mathematical foundations thread, and it wants your question.
