From b51314765c16a0bd7c50999e9355f898350278af Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Andre Brait Date: Sun, 11 Oct 2026 09:56:06 +0000 Subject: [PATCH 1/4] feat(hook): show the graph nodes behind a nudged call, and tighten its wording Agents treated the soft nudge as noise: it was the same placeholder text on every call, and "or to modify/debug specific lines" excused nearly any targeted read. A firing nudge (and the strict-mode deny) now carries: - a command built from the call: `graphify explain ""` when the searched word is a node label, `graphify query ""` otherwise, or `graphify explain ""` for a read; - up to five matching graph nodes with file and line, so the nudge shows what the graph already knows instead of only asking for it. The lookup scans graph.json labels and paths directly (0.1-0.5 s on 3k-15k node graphs; the full query stack costs ~1.5 s per hook call), skips graphs over 32 MiB, and falls back to the plain nudge on any failure or no match. The escape clause now allows raw reads only once the exact file and lines are known, and the always-on rule names the moment to query: before the first grep, search or source-file read. --- graphify/always_on/agents-md.md | 2 +- graphify/always_on/claude-md.md | 2 +- graphify/always_on/gemini-md.md | 2 +- graphify/cli.py | 137 +++++++++++++++++- tests/test_hook_guard.py | 51 +++++++ tests/test_hook_strict.py | 12 ++ tests/test_skillgen.py | 4 +- .../graphify__always_on__agents-md.md | 2 +- .../graphify__always_on__claude-md.md | 2 +- .../graphify__always_on__gemini-md.md | 2 +- .../skillgen/fragments/always-on/agents-md.md | 2 +- .../skillgen/fragments/always-on/claude-md.md | 2 +- .../skillgen/fragments/always-on/gemini-md.md | 2 +- tools/skillgen/gen.py | 15 +- 14 files changed, 218 insertions(+), 19 deletions(-) diff --git a/graphify/always_on/agents-md.md b/graphify/always_on/agents-md.md index 144d578f22..98b8b44dfa 100644 --- a/graphify/always_on/agents-md.md +++ b/graphify/always_on/agents-md.md @@ -5,7 +5,7 @@ This project has a knowledge graph at graphify-out/ with god nodes, community st When the user types `/graphify`, use the installed graphify skill or instructions before doing anything else.
