From e83dd1aec963648fdac5e3e26e919e553273f393 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: keyolk Date: Thu, 1 Oct 2026 13:33:49 +0900 Subject: [PATCH] CPLAT-12501: open on the outputs digest, and warm the tmux memo off the loop MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit Two reports, both of them startup defaults. Scratchpad was only visible on date rows. Not a collection bug — an asymmetry in which pane each row shows. A date row ignores the preview mode and always renders Produced; project and session rows follow sessPreviewMode, whose zero value is the conversation preview. So scratchpad (and PRs, Jira, plans) sat one p->o away on those rows while appearing immediately on a date row. browserPreviewMode now defaults to the outputs digest, which is what the daily view already did. The first question about a row is what it produced, not the wall of conversation text that answers how; Tab still gets you the conversation. While doing that: sessPreviewMode was only initialised from dailyPreviewMode when starting in the daily view, and otherwise fell through to the zero value rather than the starting view's own default. Both branches go through one path now. Navigation was also sluggish right after launch. Handling the initial sessionsScannedMsg blocked the loop for 722ms, and the breakdown on a 233-session directory puts almost all of it in one call: autoSelectSession -> tmux.CurrentWindowClaudes 223ms newSessionList 7.5ms applyStartupFilter 1.6ms carryOverRefState, injectRemoteSessions <0.2ms CurrentWindowClaudes walks every tmux pane on the first call and is memoized after (2µs). autoSelectSession runs the moment the scan lands, purely to place the cursor, so the whole walk hit the loop exactly as the list first appeared. Init's scan command warms the memo on its own goroutine now, next to the MarkLiveSessions call already there. 722ms -> 8.4ms. Four tests, each verified by reverting the relevant change and watching it fail. The startup guard asserts the memo is already warm rather than a wall-clock number so it cannot go flaky under load, and TestExplicitPreviewFlagStillWins pins that -preview conv still beats the new default. --- README.md | 2 +- internal/tui/app.go | 31 +++++++++--- internal/tui/refresh_test.go | 96 ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ 3 files changed, 120 insertions(+), 9 deletions(-) diff --git a/README.md b/README.md index 1db5506..5b57d8e 100644 --- a/README.md +++ b/README.md @@ -120,7 +120,7 @@ Browse all Claude Code sessions across projects, sorted by recency. - **Fork** — agent-fork grouping - **Daily** (`d`) — day → project → session tree (newest day first), previewing what each level produced - **Project filter** — `/proj:` scopes the list to one project -- **Preview pane** (`Tab` to cycle): conversation, stats, memory, tasks/plan, workflows, outputs, references, live +- **Preview pane** (`Tab` to cycle): outputs (the default — PRs, Jira issues, plans, scratchpad files), conversation, stats, memory, tasks/plan, workflows, references, live - **Fleet notifications** — when a live session transitions into an attention state (→ `WAIT`/`DONE`/`STUCK`), a `(!)N` indicator appears in the status bar; press `n` to jump to the most recently notified session - **Multi-select** (`Space`) — bulk delete, copy paths, send input - **Actions menu** (`x`) — delete, move, resume, copy path, worktree, kill, input, jump, URLs, files diff --git a/internal/tui/app.go b/internal/tui/app.go index a5a2423..607170f 100644 --- a/internal/tui/app.go +++ b/internal/tui/app.go @@ -974,11 +974,15 @@ func NewApp(sessions []session.Session, cfg Config) *App { // persisted preference or -group daily): the browser's default, not the // zero value, which would drop the user into flat. preDailyGroupMode: groupProjectCentric, - // Each view remembers its own preview.
