- Run smartctl across occupied bays with a thread pool (16 workers) instead of serially; a 45-bay SAS system went from ~59s to a few seconds, fixing the 30s timeout in the cockpit Disks module - Fall back to a single lsblk call for model/serial/firmware when hdparm -I returns unknown (hdparm only works on ATA, fails on SAS) - Format capacity per drive in smartctl() so one timed-out drive no longer leaves the capacity unformatted for every drive after it
