Summary

  • Correct clear English spelling, redundant-word, and singular/plural or verb-agreement errors across 21 maintained files: 28 changed lines, including 12 lines with two-provider support for WoW names and 16 editorial lines.
  • Preserve identifiers, game behavior, non-English translations, accepted spelling variants, and source-confirmed names. Eight name groups with only one supporting provider remain unchanged pending human review.
  • Exclude non-English localization rows, including their inline comments. Preserve readable shorthand and leave apostrophe-only, capitalization, punctuation, article, and sentence-rewording suggestions out of the diff.
  • The audit used spelling and grammar candidate scans with contextual review across 1,742 shared/runtime, 2,222 standard/Forever data, and 364 tooling files. Generated/imported data and non-English fields were excluded from editorial changes. Candidate scans are heuristic, not a sentence-by-sentence review of every source line.

Data Sources

The following 10 name groups cover the 12 source-supported changed lines. Both linked providers support the documented spelling; context-specific limits are noted below. Sources verify names only, not gameplay, availability, or an observed client build. WoW record comments and descriptions are affected; no IDs were changed.

Affected name and record Context Evidence
Neighboorhood Candy → Neighborhood Candy (item 284591) Retail, Hallow’s End Wowhead, Warcraft Wiki
Ensemble: Attire of the Woodland Racoon → Ensemble: Attire of the Woodland Raccoon (item 237222) Retail, Trading Post Wowhead, Warcraft Wiki
Ember Court Rehersal → Ember Court Rehearsal (quest 59661) Retail, Shadowlands Wowhead, Warcraft Wiki
Hippogryph Harrassment → Hippogryph Harassment (quest 92516) Forever, Zephras Isle Wowhead, Warcraft Wiki
Raven Hill Cemetary → Raven Hill Cemetery (NPC 771; item 210252) Retail, NPC 771 after 10.1.7; Season of Discovery, item 210252 Wowhead, Warcraft Wiki
Challenge Conquerer: Gold → Challenge Conqueror: Gold (achievement 6378) Retail / Mists, Vale vendors 64028 and 63994 Wowhead, Warcraft Wiki
Mardivas's Rentention Dimension Invention → Mardivas's Retention Dimension Invention (item 170475) Retail, Nazjatar; trigger quest 56975 Wowhead, Warcraft Wiki
Charged Cyrstal → Charged Crystal (item 239607) Retail, K’aresh Wowhead, Warcraft Wiki
Operaton: Mechagon → Operation: Mechagon (internal quest comment 57046) Retail, trigger quest 57046; dungeon title only Wowhead, Warcraft Wiki
Extemely Volatile Stormheim Sheep → Extremely Volatile Stormheim Sheep (NPC name in description 111691) Retail, Legion Mage class hall Wowhead, Warcraft Wiki

For Raven Hill Cemetery, the Wiki covers Classic/Retail history and the Wowhead guide corroborates the location spelling in Season of Discovery; neither establishes NPC 771 availability or spawn behavior. The Wiki entry for Hippogryph Harassment corroborates the quest name and Forever context without independently printing the quest ID; the Charged Crystal Wiki entry identifies the related quest reward without independently printing the item ID. The Operation: Mechagon sources establish the dungeon title, not the identity or mechanics of quest 57046. For Ember Court Rehearsal, the Wiki quest title supports the change while a separate scenario subheading retains a different spelling.

Evidence was checked on 2026-11-05–06. No installed ATT version or live client build was observed. The reviewed baseline is f192fd6c855655e73a141be76f816918a8a82096; the reviewed commit is bc04b28bd60d2feb9dd5d5b08eca64e5dcf3afad.

Configured source targets are Retail 12.1.5.70783, Mists 5.5.4.70631, Season of Discovery 1.15.9.70576, and Forever 1.60.1.69893; the Forever Wago extract is 1.60.1.70790. These are configuration or extraction versions, not tested client builds; external sources did not establish a precise build for every observation.

Pending human decisions

Eight one-provider name groups at 13 unchanged source locations are listed directly in the PR conversation, with supporting and contrary evidence, flavor context, and commit-pinned code links. They are held for human decision. Each group also includes an auxiliary English spelling/context check. It contributes 0 additional WoW providers, so every candidate retains 1 supporting provider and remains pending human decision.

Validation and review

  • Lua 5.1 syntax passed for 18 changed Lua files; bytecode was identical for 10 comment-only Lua files.
  • Executable Python ASTs were unchanged in 3 changed Python files after excluding standalone documentation strings. BOM and CRLF/LF counts were preserved across all 21 files.
  • Terra’s initial review raised five findings; Sol’s review raised semantic and metadata findings. The implementation or records were corrected on the first repair, and the final source and review records passed recheck.
  • Terra and Sol reviewed the reduced scope: 54 prior line edits were withdrawn, and eight retained lines were narrowed to their independent corrections. Review coverage consists of 28 current inline explanations, 54 explicitly withdrawn entries, and eight superseded outdated anchors. Outdated discussions are marked resolved.
  • No local full Parser run or live WoW client test was performed. GitHub CI passed for both Parser and Lua Regression Tests at bc04b28bd60d2feb9dd5d5b08eca64e5dcf3afad.

AI Assistance

AI assistance was used with gpt-6-luna (max reasoning) for implementation and scope reduction, gpt-6.1-terra for initial/follow-up review, scope classification, PR drafting, and auxiliary context analysis, and gpt-6.1-sol for final review, validation, source comparison, auxiliary spelling analysis, and PR/comment updates. The validation and evidence limits are stated above.

- Correct required English spelling and grammar in shared comments,
  Standard/Forever descriptions, and contributor-tool documentation.
- Correct corroborated WoW names while preserving official spellings,
accepted variants, identifiers, data relationships, and line endings.
- Validate 49 Lua files with Lua 5.1.5 and compare identical stripped
bytecode for 38 comment-only files. Preserve executable Python AST
and C# text outside documentation and comments.

Pending human decisions: one-provider name candidates

These eight groups cover 13 source locations. The English spelling/context checks below are auxiliary editorial analysis based on ordinary English and the existing source context. They contribute 0 additional WoW providers and do not establish official game names or override contrary evidence. Auxiliary analysis date: 2026-11-06. Each has only one supporting provider; contrary evidence, generic descriptions, and related but different records are not counted as additional support. All source lines remain unchanged. Please review the proposed names and obtain or assess further evidence before applying them. Configured Retail target: 12.1.5.70783; it is not an observed client build.

  1. Fogotten Translocator → Forgotten Translocator — description object 375376. Retail Shadowlands; Fallen Vault o375376/q65487.

    • Evidence: Indexed Wiki identifies the Forgotten Translocator beside the Fallen Vault. Wowhead treasure guide confirms a teleporter there but does not supply the exact name. One independent provider supports the proposed name. Do not count generic teleporter wording as a second spelling source; source remains unchanged.
    • Supporting WoW providers: 1.
    • Auxiliary English spelling/context check (not an additional WoW source): Forgotten is the standard past participle/adjective, with the missing r restored. It fits the instruction to use a named translocator to teleport up. This supports the English form, but the sentence does not establish the official object name.
    • Supporting provider: source 1.
    • Unchanged source: location 1.
  2. Mischevious Chick → Mischievous Chick — description item 265674. Retail Midnight; Silvermoon City Tasty Meat description.

    • Evidence: Wowhead community comments use Mischievous Chick, but the current exact NPC 257049 English tooltip returns Mischevious Chick, matching the original. Community wording and exact record conflict within the same provider. One provider contains supporting community wording but its authoritative NPC record supports the original. This is not verified-name correction; preserve the exact official spelling unless a human decides otherwise.
    • Supporting WoW providers: 1.
    • Auxiliary English spelling/context check (not an additional WoW source): Mischievous is the standard adjective spelling and can grammatically modify Chick. The feeding/reward description does not itself establish that adjective as the NPC name; the exact NPC tooltip instead spells it Mischevious. Language analysis does not override that contrary game-record evidence.
    • Supporting provider: source 1.
    • Contrary evidence: source 1.
    • Unchanged source: location 1, location 2.
  3. Norbit Control Pannel → Norbit Control Panel — object 329737. Retail counterpart; shared ObjectDB/source comment compilation depends on sourceguards.

    • Evidence: Wowhead English tooltip object 329737 returns Norbit Control Panel. No second provider was found for this exact object/name. Only one supporting provider; preserve original pending human decision.
    • Supporting WoW providers: 1.
    • Auxiliary English spelling/context check (not an additional WoW source): Panel has one n in the ordinary English term control panel, which is coherent as an object name. Norbit is treated as an unchanged proper name. This does not independently verify object 329737 or its in-game label.
    • Supporting provider: source 1.
    • Unchanged source: location 1, location 2.
  4. Bload Soaked Book → Blood Soaked Book — object 404432. Retail counterpart; shared ObjectDB/source comment compilation depends on sourceguards.

    • Evidence: Wowhead English tooltip object 404432 returns Blood Soaked Book. No second provider was found for this exact object/name. Blood-Soaked Book Wiki article refers to the related item with a different hyphenated label; exactobject 404432 identity is not independently established, so retain one-provider status.
    • Supporting WoW providers: 1.
    • Auxiliary English spelling/context check (not an additional WoW source): Blood is the ordinary noun that makes the phrase Blood Soaked Book semantically coherent; Bload is not the expected ordinary word in that phrase. This supports the proposed word, but does not establish the object identity, its appearance, or the exact punctuation of the game name.
    • Supporting provider: source 1.
    • Unchanged source: location 1, location 2, location 3.
  5. Dark Chest of Forbiden Evils → Dark Chest of Forbidden Evils — object 617397. Retail counterpart; shared ObjectDB/source comment compilation depends on sourceguards.

    • Evidence: Wowhead English tooltip object 617397 returns Dark Chest of Forbidden Evils. No second provider was found for this exact object/name. Only one supporting provider; preserve original pending human decision.
    • Supporting WoW providers: 1.
    • Auxiliary English spelling/context check (not an additional WoW source): Forbidden is the standard spelling, with double d, and works as the adjective modifying Evils in the chest name. This is a language check of the Contributor comment, not an independent verification of object 617397 or quest 92320.
    • Supporting provider: source 1.
    • Unchanged source: location 1.
  6. Amani Skelton → Amani Skeleton — object 668269. Retail counterpart; shared ObjectDB/source comment compilation depends on sourceguards.

    • Evidence: Wowhead English tooltip object 668269 returns Amani Skeleton. No second provider was found for this exact object/name. Only one supporting provider; preserve original pending human decision.
    • Supporting WoW providers: 1.
    • Auxiliary English spelling/context check (not an additional WoW source): Skeleton is the ordinary noun spelling, including the e between l and t, and is coherent after the unchanged Amani name. Skelton could in principle be a deliberate proper spelling; English alone cannot establish the name or nature of object 668269.
    • Supporting provider: source 1.
    • Unchanged source: location 1.
  7. Profession Liason → Profession Liaison — NPC subtitle 142564, 142552. Retail BFA Boralus NPC Leedan Gustaf comment; configured 12.1.5.70783.

    • Evidence: Wowhead English NPC tooltips show Profession Liaison for Leedan Gustaf 142564 and Ozgrom Ragefang 142552. No second provider was found. Only these two NPCs are candidates. Bragni 161565 and Jinxy Blastwheel 161590 retain Liason in the actual Wowhead tooltip, so their original source comments are preserved as official spellings. Wiki Leedan Gustaf still prints Profession Liason, conflicting with Wowhead; it is a contrary provider, not a second provider supporting the correction.
    • Supporting WoW providers: 1.
    • Auxiliary English spelling/context check (not an additional WoW source): Liaison is the standard spelling for a person acting as a link or representative and fits a profession-related NPC subtitle. The vendor/PvP crafting context makes that reading plausible, but does not verify the official subtitle. The contrary Wiki spelling remains relevant, and the two Wowhead NPC pages still count as one provider.
    • Supporting provider: Wowhead NPC 142564, Wowhead NPC 142552 (one distinct provider).
    • Contrary evidence: source 1.
    • Unchanged source: location 1, location 2.
  8. Hot Air Baloon → Hot Air Balloon — item / pet comment 154703. Shared PetDB source; Retail counterpart NYI/placeholder pet item.

    • Evidence: Wowhead English item 154703 tooltip returns Hot Air Balloon - Pet (NEEDS NAME). This supports Balloon spelling only; the actual item label includes a placeholder suffix. No same-pet Wiki counterpart was found. Wiki generic vehicle article does not establish this pet identity and is not counted as a second provider. Keep comment unchanged pending human decision.
    • Supporting WoW providers: 1.
    • Auxiliary English spelling/context check (not an additional WoW source): Balloon is the standard spelling, with double l, and fits the Hot Air Balloon label in the pet-item comment. Wowhead includes the suffix - Pet (NEEDS NAME), so language analysis cannot establish the final complete pet name or justify removing that placeholder context.
    • Supporting provider: source 1.
    • Unchanged source: location 1.

For the chick, the supported alternative is community wording on Wowhead; the exact NPC tooltip on the same provider supports the original spelling. For the two profession NPCs, both Wowhead URLs are one provider, and the linked Wiki result contradicts the proposed spelling for Leedan Gustaf. The other NPCs mentioned above retain their tooltip spelling.

AI Assistance: gpt-6.1-terra and gpt-6.1-sol provided the auxiliary English spelling/context analysis and review.

Per-line English audit (1/2)

Scope updated at bc04b28bd60d2feb9dd5d5b08eca64e5dcf3afad: the current diff contains 21 files and 28 changed lines, comprising 12 lines supported by two distinct WoW providers and 16 editorial lines with zero WoW providers. Of the original 82 inline entries, 54 are now explicitly withdrawn, eight are superseded at outdated anchors, and 20 remain current. Eight new comments explain the narrowed corrections at current source lines. All outdated discussions are marked resolved.

The non-English OBJECT locale rows and optional apostrophe, article, punctuation, capitalization, shorthand, and wording edits have been restored to the baseline. Terra and Sol reviewed the reduced source and explanations; this is AI review, not human approval or live-client validation. The eight one-provider candidate groups remain unchanged for human decision.
