The Python package bikenetlib is BikeNetKit's Python core utility package. It offers general utilities for working with bicycle networks, which also forms the core of many upstream packages in the BikeNetKit family, like GrowBikeNet, FixBikeNet, or LinkBikeNet.

Caution

BikeNetLib is currently in Alpha: It is under heavy development and not stable enough to use yet, likely to contain breaking bugs. Breaking changes may be added anytime.

BikeNetLib is imported as bnl. There are several building blocks:

• bnl.io – Input and output
• bnl.osm – OpenStreetMap constants
• bnl.utils – Utilities
• bnl.viz – Visualization

BikeNetLib mainly builds on OSMnx and GeoPandas.

Installation

The recommended way to install BikeNetLib is using conda:

conda install bikenetlib
