Live characters can add directory people to Cc when they introduce someone. A reply that says "looping in Victoria" now puts her on the thread.

Changes

Character replies used to be reply-all only. The agent could name a new person in the body, but the headers never changed, so that person never received the mail.

Replies now accept [[cc: name-or-email]] tags, in the same family as [[done]] / [[continue]]. We resolve those against the scenario directory, merge them onto the reply-all headers, and ask any newly looped-in live person to write back.

Unknown names are dropped. The learner and the sender cannot Cc themselves. Existing recipients stay on the thread.

The character agent gets a PEOPLE directory at session start so it knows who it can add. Redeploy cosmo-mail-character after merge or the new prompts will not take effect.

Test plan

  • npm test
  • Redeploy the character agent (npm run deploy:character-agent:dev)
  • In the procurement scenario, send Ryan a reply that asks him to introduce Victoria without putting her on Cc yourself
  • Confirm Ryan's reply lists Victoria on Cc
  • Confirm Victoria then writes back on that introduction

📝 Walkthrough

Character replies can include [[cc: ...]] directives that resolve against a directory of people and add eligible recipients to Cc. The completion endpoint identifies live characters newly added to the thread. The client then collects replies from those characters.

No actionable merge-blocking issue was established; newly added live recipients are still prompted to reply when the introducing character marks their reply done.

Add a route-level success case for [[cc:]].

The only /api/character/complete test submits an unknown address and asserts empty Cc and responder lists. The helper tests cover resolution and responder selection in isolation, but no route test covers directory lookup, persisted email.cc, and returned responders together.

Add a test fixture with a non-sender character, then submit that character in [[cc: ...]] and assert both the returned Cc entry and introduced responder. This is not duplicate coverage.
