Summary

Fixes #394, found during the final DUFMech rollout browser review.

  • Scope a readable orange link token to fleet matrix links, evidence links and the evidence disclosure, with light, automatic dark and explicit dark values. Keep scoped links persistently underlined so their identity does not depend on color alone. Leave global brand, chart and card colors unchanged.
  • Render capability N/A values and their legend as opaque muted dashes, consistent with the website-feature table and distinct from disabled rings. Preserve all accessible labels and status meanings.
  • Add regression checks for scoped selectors, theme contrast on all six defined surface colors, and N/A marker/legend consistency; regenerate mechs.md through the normal assembler.

Only _fleet/fleet_fragment.html, tests/test_site_features.py, and generated mechs.md change. All manifest, census, card, feature-verdict, deployment/source evidence and scientific data remain unchanged.

Validation

  • 204 local unit tests pass; generation and whitespace checks pass.
  • Exact-head PR CI passed for f94e9318b534d6879d33fb864a7e8276d82f0216: run 37688723216. The reviewed tree is 41a84b5ee5f93dc41e51dc9a9809cdbcded89eda.
  • Independent adversarial review of the initial three-file patch and final underline-only delta found no remaining scoped findings. Generated-page equality and all 365 preserved fleet/assets files (including ignored files) were verified.
  • Local browser proof passed eight width/theme combinations for colors and markers, followed by four fresh final-head cases for persistent underlines, normal/hover/focus states and unchanged geometry. The bounded reviews inspected 32 plus eight screenshots. Each final case checked all 313 scoped links; no browser errors or outer overflow were found.
  • Minimum defined-surface contrast was 4.865 for text and 4.649 for N/A markers; rendered upper-viewport gradient text minimum was 4.929. The final declaration-only change reuses the unchanged eight-mode color proof explicitly. Visited-state privacy limitations remain documented; this is not a full-site accessibility-conformance claim.
  • Final local receipt: /private/tmp/culturebotai-suite-contrast-local-20261007/final-f94e931-local-qa-receipt.json, SHA256 d27acca70b18b86a6afd323c89bf5385bbe08b636d1216f10ee532f2a26c5520. The earlier color proof has SHA256 3e96b327d69c3f674c21754412af0ada267b39b11e24bcb6ff51ed73f3355c90.
  • The prior published suite deployment passed its scoped semantic, navigation and responsive checks but retained these two contrast findings. Its historical receipt is unchanged.

Normal exact-head PR checks and independent review passed. Successful deployment and fresh public contrast verification are still required before closing out the rollout. The unrelated pre-existing heatmap focus issue #54 is outside this patch.

Final deployed verification passed at bebc59c (reviewed tree 41a84b5ee5f93dc41e51dc9a9809cdbcded89eda). Main CI and Pages succeeded; actual deployment 6921267518/status19426231344 succeeded at 21:25:40 UTC.

Four fresh unmodified public desktop/mobile light/dark runs and 12 inspected screenshots passed scoped contrast, persistent link cues, N/A markers, theme persistence, geometry, table scrolling and fleet semantics. No JS, request or HTTP errors or outer overflow. Public HTML and CSS match reviewed bytes; prior eight-mode color evidence reuse and visited-state privacy limitations remain explicit. Current main was unchanged before/after this check. No full-site accessibility or exhaustive scientific-record review is claimed.

Final receipt: /private/tmp/culturebotai-suite-public-final-20261007/final-qa-receipt.json, SHA256 330a8799f36aacce452126f6f35945cdf84d867198de6e03448c26e20e8a2b07. The completed rollout is recorded in DUFMech #116.
