Description

  • Native Helm deploy job pods now carry cluster-autoscaler.kubernetes.io/safe-to-evict: "false", matching what native build jobs already set.
  • Without it, a cluster-autoscaler scale-down can evict a deploy pod mid-helm upgrade. With backoffLimit: 0, that fails the deploy even though nothing was wrong with the service.

Verifying Changes

  • Added a unit test asserting the annotation on the job built by kubernetes/jobFactory.createHelmJob (the factory used for helm deploys).
  • jest for kubernetes, nativeHelm, nativeBuild and eslint pass.
