The first connection opens an OAuth sign-in. There is no API key to paste. If you don't know how to configure your agent, click **Copy quick-start prompt** and paste it into the agent. It adds Graphify, walks you through sign-in, and runs a first query.

Watch the **Agent connection status** line on that page: it changes to **Your agent reached this workspace** when a call lands. After indexing finishes, use the starter tasks under **Try it on your repository**, and copy the rules block into your agent's instructions file. Use this page after you [connect your agent](/platform/quickstart). It takes about two minutes. You check three things in order: the server is connected, the agent can call Graphify's tools, and the agent picks them for code questions.

## In Graphify: connection status and starter tasks

On **Connectors → MCP**, Graphify shows a live **Agent connection status** line while you set up:

| Ask your agent to list your Graphify repositories. | Not connected yet for this workspace. |
| Your agent reached this workspace. | A recent MCP call reached this workspace. |
| Your agent last reached … | Connected, but to a different workspace. Switch with `set_workspace`, or use a token from this workspace. |

The same page has a **Connect your agent** card with install steps for your client, a rules block you can copy into `AGENTS.md` / `CLAUDE.md` / your client's rules file, and (once a repository is indexed) **Try it on your repository** starter tasks drawn from your code. Starter tasks are one-click handoffs; after a task finishes you can **Run again** for a fresh receipt instead of replaying a consumed one.
