Sending the first message in New worktree mode now accepts automatic base selection while launch preparation resolves the default branch. Explicit bases remain intact; clients resolve the base for older servers, origin commits are pinned with one lookup, mobile delivery preserves captured intent and prevents duplicate starts, and scheduled tasks retain automatic-base intent across save/reopen.
Ports accepted original #82 onto the pinned upstream nightly and stacks above checkpoint-safety #108. Parent CI repairs remain in that owning layer; later corrections will propagate through normal merges.
Validation: 678 tests across 18 affected modules passed with the inherited launcher context excluded only from test children. All six affected package typechecks, scoped formatting/lint, CI dependency checks, production web build and server bundle passed. Commit hooks preserved the validated source hashes.
Hosted CI and actual web/mobile interaction are pending. No startup timing, native runtime, or installed-app success is claimed. Existing current V2 tests preserve the original case inventory and asynchronous preparation boundaries.
Implementation: GPT-6.1-Sol and Astra through T3 Code/Codex. Recovery, final qualification and publication: Steven GPT-6.1-Sol/medium through T3 Code/Codex.
