Jones Code still introduced itself with upstream distribution claims and a long upstream agent guide. That obscured the source setup route and encouraged private-state copying and bot-dependent completion outside the Jones task boundaries.
This change gives the README a Jones-specific source quickstart and honest configuration/distribution limits. It keeps native contracts, cross-client/provider coverage, and focused-check practice in a shorter AGENTS.md with a contributor owner, and repairs the existing development runbook for isolated fixtures, setup effects, and fallible sharing cleanup. Existing architecture owners remain canonical.
Validation: 46 relative links/fragments resolve; consumed AGENTS test-data/documentation and README install-vp anchors remain; documented scripts, state-home priority, origins, configuration links and artifact limits were checked against source; staged whitespace and four-path scope checks pass. Documentation-only: no named local affected-check group applies, no code/tests changed, and source setup was not smoke-tested. CI provides its own exact-head results.
Based on canonical main cbc1632. The README overlap with unfinished #77 is incidental: this change documents main and does not consume or merge its pending orchestrator. Other pending source stacks are excluded. This is source documentation; no runtime adoption, private-state inspection, deployment, or shared Agent Core import occurred.
CI run 37160502987 attempt 1 passed on head 2974ea1, including aggregate Check. The native-mobile static analysis job intentionally skipped because no native sources changed. The prior README formatting failure was repaired with a table-only formatting commit. A direct local formatter check was unavailable without dependencies; no dependencies were installed for this task.
Codex harness; requested Sol/max and Astra/xhigh research, Sol/xhigh synthesis, Astra/high wording, inherited Sol/medium coordination. Effective model/effort was not independently exposed.
