Clear _balances and _ownedSkus on logOut and revokeCurrentDevice.
logOut() resets the premium, trial, and status flows, but it does not reset these two new flows. revokeCurrentDevice() clears the token but also leaves them in place. After revokeCurrentDevice(), refreshOwnership returns early on the blank token and never removes the sku. As a result, PayCraftProductGate stays unlocked and PayCraftBalance shows the previous user's balance on a shared device.
Add _balances.value = emptyMap() and _ownedSkus.value = emptySet() to both logOut() and revokeCurrentDevice().

🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟠 Major | ⚡ Quick win
A transport failure becomes a server verdict in refreshBalance and refreshOwnership.
PayCraftService.balanceOf returns 0 on any exception. PayCraftService.owns returns false on any exception (PayCraftService.kt Lines 316-321 and 345-350). These callers cannot tell that result apart from a real server answer, so they publish it:
refreshBalancewritessku to 0into_balances.PayCraftBalancethen renders "0". The KDoc inBillingManagerandPayCraftBalancesays this must never happen: "Showing "0" during the read would tell a user who just paid that their coins are gone". The no-token branch avoids the problem, but the network-failure branch reintroduces it.refreshOwnershipremoves the sku from_ownedSkusafter any transient network error.PayCraftProductGatecalls this on every composition, so a paying owner on a weak connection loses the unlocked content mid-session.
Return a nullable value from the service so that "unknown" stays separate from 0 and false. If the value is null, leave the map or set unchanged.

🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟠 Major | 🏗️ Heavy lift
The drain runs once, at construction, before plans and the device token are likely available.
The binder launches drain() immediately after PayCraft.initialize. At that moment two things are usually missing:
- Plans:
repository.plans.valueis seeded fromPayCraft.plans. That list is empty until the async/configfetch lands, so the loop iterates over no skus. - Device token: on a fresh install the identity collector has not finished
logIn/registerDevice.PayCraftBillingManager.refreshBalancereturns0without a token.
Only the resume of an existing intent works in this window. A balance granted by a webhook while the app was closed is not drained until some later launch wins the race. If config never loads before the drain on any launch, the balance is never drained. Nothing else calls drain(): not a purchase return, not a foreground event, and not a config change.
Trigger the drain from state changes instead of once. For example, collect repo.plans (and identity/token readiness) and run drain() on each distinct non-empty plan list. Serialize the runs with a Mutex so that two drains never race on the single pending slot.

A transient Play API failure drops the grant permanently.
When purchases.products.get fails with a 5xx or 429, the function returns null. The caller logs "has no account id" and returns 200. Pub/Sub then does not redeliver, and the paid purchase is never credited. Distinguish a transient HTTP failure from a missing obfuscatedExternalAccountId. Throw on a transient failure so the handler returns 5xx and Pub/Sub redelivers.

🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟠 Major | ⚡ Quick win
A transient grant failure falls through to the lifetime-entitlement path.
Only "not in catalogue" and "not a consumable" are excluded from the error log. A grant failed, catalogue lookup failed or could not resolve a subject reason still falls through. The code then creates the lifetime entitlement row. That is the bug this PR fixes. A transient failure on a real consumable gives the buyer permanent premium and no balance. Break or throw for any reason other than the two expected ones.

Update the consumable-grant handling around the consumable reason check so only

Revoke PUBLIC from the internal overloads.
entitlement_balance_get(TEXT, UUID, TEXT) and entitlement_balance_spend(TEXT, UUID, TEXT, INT, TEXT) accept p_subject_id directly. They are SECURITY DEFINER functions, and the spend path writes a negative ledger delta. Revoking only anon and authenticated leaves PUBLIC execution, so a client can spend another subject's balance when it knows that subject UUID. The internal entitlement_subject_of_token function also remains publicly executable.

handleConsumablePurchase. A consumable can therefore leave the balance unchanged while receiving lifetime access. Useconsumable, not the misspelledconsable. Treat only a catalogued non-consumable as a fallback; surface other results for retry.Suggested fix

Do not use a non-USD price as a USD/EUR fallback.
buildPriceInputs accepts a product with only a supported non-USD price, such as INR. That price reaches syncInAppProductToGooglePlay. When USD and EUR are absent, fallbackCents reuses the INR amount, and toPlayMoney labels that amount as USD and EUR. Google Play uses these fields as actual USD and EUR prices for future regions, so those regions can receive incorrect prices.
Omit newRegionsConfig unless both USD and EUR prices are explicitly configured, or reject the sync when they are missing. Do not reuse another currency's amount.

| | F53 | `PayCraftStoreSection` renders "No products available" against a tenant that HAS live packs | `isConsumable` false on every plan. The catalogue mapper filtered to `subscription`/`lifetime` BEFORE setting the flag, so `isConsumable = dto.type == "consumable"` was unreachable | heal | Fixed in the SDK (the mapper now denylists `trial` only). On an older SDK there is no host-side workaround — the flag never arrives. Verify with `PayCraft.products.isNotEmpty()` | | ||
| | F53b | The same bug, two silent cousins | The drain's `plans.filter { it.isConsumable }` matched nothing, so purchased units NEVER reached the host; and `isConsumableStoreProduct` returned false, so a pack was ACKNOWLEDGED instead of CONSUMED | heal | Same fix. The acknowledge path is the dangerous one: Play then treats the pack as owned forever and refuses to sell it again — unrecoverable for that buyer | | ||
| | F54 | Pack exists in Play Console with correct prices, `sync_state: draft`, and no buyer can see it | A one-time product is created in DRAFT and `purchaseOptions[].state` is OUTPUT-ONLY. Activation is a SEPARATE call (`purchaseOptions:batchUpdateStates`) that nothing invoked | heal | Re-sync on a dashboard that activates. `draft` reads like "Play is still processing" and is not — it means unbuyable | | ||
| | F55 | Pack is ACTIVE in Play but invisible to the app's billing client | The purchase option is not `legacyCompatible`. Purchase options are a newer PBL concept; a client querying the usual way gets nothing back | heal | Exactly one option per product may carry `legacyCompatible: true`; the sync sets it. Symptom is indistinguishable from "product not found" | |

Give the consumable failures unique identifiers.
F53, F54, and F55 already identify paywall failures at Lines 106–108. The new rows reuse those identifiers for different causes and remedies. A reader following the F53/F54 reference in PAYWALL_CUSTOMIZATION.md can therefore reach the wrong remedy. Renumber these rows and update their references.

Render spent units from the host ledger.
If the host follows this instruction after a successful drain, balances shows the remaining server balance, not the units credited to the host ledger. A buyer can receive purchased units while the displayed balance reads zero. Direct hosts to their own ledger for usable units. Describe balances and PayCraftBalance as server-balance views, and make the same correction in PAYWALL_CUSTOMIZATION.md.

repository.spend returns Result.failure on a network error. It does not return null or throw, so the offline-spend design never runs.
PayCraftBillingManager.spend collapses a transport failure and insufficient_balance into Result.failure. PayCraftRepositoryImpl.spend forwards that value. runCatching { ... }.getOrNull() therefore produces a non-null Result, and the code reaches these paths:
spendwhile offline. Theresult == nullbranch is never taken. An offline spend goes toelse. That branch dequeues the outbox row, callsreconcile, and returnsfalse. Offline spending is refused even whenofflineSpendAllowed = true. Insidereconcile, refreshBalancecallsservice.balanceOf, which returns 0 on any exception. The mirror is then set to 0, so an offline user who taps "buy" sees the whole balance disappear.reconcilereplay.runCatching { repository.spend(...) }succeeds with aResult.failurevalue, so.onSuccess { store.dequeueSpend(...) }runs. A queued spend is deleted on a transient failure. A spend that later reaches this path while offline is lost.
The fake returns Result.failure only for insufficient funds, so PayCraftBalancesTest does not exercise either path.
Make the repository contract tell "refused" apart from "unreachable". One option is a distinct exception type for transport failures, and another is a sealed result. Then branch on it here. Also check the inner Result in reconcile.

Clear the balance outbox on sign-out, or the next user is charged for the previous user's spends.
The outbox persists across logOut(). PayCraftBillingManager.logOut calls only store.clearCache() and clearEmail(). clearAll() (lines 133-138) does not clear outbox entries either.
The outbox rows hold no identity. reconcile replays them with whatever DeviceTokenStore token is current. Consider this sequence:
- User A spends offline.
- User A signs out.
- User B signs in.
reconcileAll()runs.
User A's queued spends now debit user B's server balance, and user A's queued earns credit user B. Both ledger writes are permanent.
Add an outbox wipe to clearAll(), and call it from the sign-out and revokeCurrentDevice paths. Another option is to store the owning device token with each outbox entry and skip entries that do not match.

🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick win
Clamp the fake's earn against activity earned today, not against the total balance.
The server computes LEAST(p_quantity, GREATEST(v_cap - v_earned, 0)). In that expression, v_earned is the sum of reason = 'activity' rows for the current UTC day (migration 161, entitlement_activity_earned_today). The fake uses cap - current, and current is the whole balance.
Example: a user has 500 coins from a purchase and dailyEarnCap = 50. The server grants 50. The fake grants 0. Host tests written against the fake therefore assert behaviour the server never produces. The existing test passes only because it starts at a balance of 0.

Do not insert the raw api_key into a PostgREST .or() filter string.
apiKey comes from the request body and is placed directly into the filter grammar. A value such as x,id.eq.<tenant-uuid> adds a third OR branch. That branch matches the target tenant without its API key. A value such as x,id.not.is.null matches every active tenant.
A valid JWT from the matched tenant's issuer is still required, so the impact is limited. Even so, the tenant lookup no longer requires a correct key. Use the existing resolve_tenant RPC, which the SQL RPCs already use, or use two strict .eq() lookups.

Serialize the daily-cap check and the insert, or parallel requests can exceed the cap.
entitlement_activity_earned_today reads the day's sum, and then the function inserts a row. No lock covers both steps. Under READ COMMITTED, N concurrent calls with different p_idempotency_key values all read the same v_earned. Each call is then granted up to v_cap. The unique constraint does not help, because the keys are different.
The header says a modified client "can claim any number it likes". That same client can send parallel requests and collect several times the daily cap. The cap is the only control on this mint path.
Take a transaction-scoped advisory lock on (tenant, subject, sku) before the read. Apply the same change to the redefined body in migration 162. That body replaces this one.

Scope the activity idempotency key to the subject.
The ledger's unique constraint is (tenant_id, idempotency_key). For activity earns, the key is the host's eventId. PayCraftBalances.earn documents that eventId identifies "the activity" (for example, focus-session-42). Hosts are likely to derive such IDs from per-user local counters.
Suppose two users in the same tenant report the same eventId. The second insert hits ON CONFLICT DO NOTHING, and that user's earn is dropped with no error. The function still returns a balance, so the SDK dequeues the outbox row, and the earn is lost permanently. One user can also block another user's future earns by claiming predictable keys first.
Store a subject-qualified key. Apply the same change to the 162 body.

Provide device verification before enforcing this gate.
entitlement_subject_of_verified_token rejects an unverified device when its subject has any verified identity. Google Play and App Store grants resolve auth_user identities with p_verified: true, but the SDK has no identity-verify or register_verified_device call. Ordinary register_device leaves identity_verified false. When the grant resolves to the buyer's device subject, balance reads, spends, and earns can fail with insufficient_privilege.
Ship the SDK identity-token flow before enabling this gate, or defer the gate until that flow is available. Narrowing the gate to auth_user does not fix this path because these grants already verify auth_user identities.

Revoke PUBLIC execution on the verification functions.
Migration 107 closed the functions that existed at that time, but migration 162 creates these new SECURITY DEFINER functions afterward. The current revokes remove only explicit anon and authenticated grants. They leave PostgreSQL's default PUBLIC execute privilege active.
An anonymous PostgREST caller can therefore call register_verified_device with a known victim subject and device token. The function has no caller authorization and sets identity_verified = true. The token then passes entitlement_subject_of_verified_token, allowing the caller to use the balance RPCs with the tenant's publishable API key as the victim subject.

watchAndEarn reconciles once, immediately, and usually before the SSV callback lands.
The comments at lines 76-78 and 98-100 state that the server credit arrives out of band after the ad closes. The code calls balances.reconcile(sku) one time, right after showRewardedAd returns. The callback typically arrives later. The returned balance is then unchanged, and PayCraftEarnSection discards it.
Nothing else triggers a reconcile until the next app start or foreground. The user sees no reward and believes the ad paid nothing. This is the outcome the kdoc warns about.

Resolve the balance currency before reading or spending it.
When grant_sku differs from the product sku, the handler credits grant_sku. The SDK and billing manager pass the product sku unchanged to the balance RPCs, which use it as the ledger key. Carry grant_sku through the product model and use the resolved currency for balance reads, spends, local balance keys, and pending writes.

Key rotation and key-fetch failures both reject valid callbacks with 401.
An unknown key_id returns 401 immediately. The key cache lives for six hours. After Google rotates keys, every valid callback fails until the cache expires.
A failed fetch of the key file is also caught at line 136 and returned as 401. A transient gstatic outage then looks like a bad signature, and the ad network can treat it as a permanent failure.
On an unknown key_id, refetch the keys once (with a minimum interval between refetches). Return 503 when the key fetch fails.

The callback signature does not bind the reward to this tenant. Any AdMob publisher can mint currency.
The ECDSA check proves that Google signed the callback. It does not prove that the ad unit belongs to the tenant being credited. Any AdMob publisher can set an SSV callback URL to this endpoint and set custom_data to <device_token>|<sku>. Google then signs a valid callback.
The code never reads the signed ad_unit or ad_network parameters. A valid callback from the attacker's own ad unit is therefore credited. The only limits are ad_reward_quantity and daily_ad_reward_cap. The cap is NULL (uncapped) by default.
Store the tenant's AdMob ad unit ids, for example in a new column or table. After the device lookup, reject the callback unless q.get("ad_unit") matches one of the ids registered for device.tenant_id. Reject missing ad_unit values too.

The daily ad cap is silently skipped when grant_sku is set.
Migration 164 makes p_sku a currency id. The ad-reward edge function now passes grant_sku as p_sku. Migration 164 also states that a currency has no row in tenant_products.
This query filters tenant_products by sku = p_sku. For a currency such as ripples, it finds no row. v_cap stays NULL, and line 105 treats NULL as uncapped. daily_ad_reward_cap is therefore ignored for the exact case migration 164 was written for.
Resolve the cap through entitlement_currency_config, as entitlement_balance_earn does in 164. Ship the change in migration 164, or in a new migration 165 if 163 is already deployed. Apply the aggregate fix I propose for entitlement_currency_config in 164 first. Otherwise the first-row selection can still return a NULL cap.

entitlement_currency_config can return a row that lacks the requested setting.
The function picks the first product row, ordered by sku, where any of the three settings is non-null. It then returns that row's columns.
Take a currency with two pack rows. Row a_pack sets only ad_reward_quantity. Row b_pack sets only daily_earn_cap. The function returns a_pack, so daily_earn_cap is NULL. entitlement_balance_earn then raises "does not allow activity earning". The SDK queues the earn and replays it forever. The result depends on sku ordering, not on the configuration.
Resolve each column independently. The aggregate query below always returns one row, and its columns are NULL when nothing is declared.

privilege-escalation hole in the migration-157 balance RPCs, and fixes a pre-existing bug that made
is_premiumread false for paying store customers. Two defects motivated most of this, both silent in production:
entitlement_balance_granthad zero callers. Every other piece of the consumable economyexisted — ledger, grant RPC, client
balances/spend, store sync. A tenant could create a coinpack, sync it to Play / App Store / Stripe / Razorpay, sell it, and the buyer's balance would
never move, on any provider. Nothing errored; the money arrived and the goods never did.

entitlement-reconcilewrote NULL for every Play and App Store subscription. ANULL-tenant row never matches

Security fix (migration 159) — DEPLOYED AND VERIFIED
157 removed
p_tenant_idfrom the client-facing balance functions, correctly reasoning that acaller-supplied tenant id lets anyone read another tenant's balances. It then left
p_subject_idcaller-supplied on both, which areSECURITY DEFINERand granted toanon, authenticated. The tenant was pinned by the key; the subject was accepted verbatim andnever checked against the caller. Since the publishable key ships inside every client binary, any
holder could read — and spend — another user's balance given their subject UUID. The
tenant-level hole was fixed one layer above and left open one layer down, and
spendmakes it adrain rather than a leak.
The missing caller and the vulnerability were the same defect.
entitlement_subject_resolveisservice_role-only, so a client cannot obtain even its own subject id — the only way to populatep_subject_idfrom a device was to already know a UUID the client is never given. The parametershould never have been the client's to supply.
159 adds overloads taking the device token, resolving the subject server-side as
is_premium/get_subscriptionhave since 155. The subject-taking signatures are kept (the webhook and dashboardhold a real subject id and no device token) but revoked from
anon, authenticated. PostgRESTresolves overloads by named parameters and the two name sets are disjoint, so both coexist.

_shared/inbound-tenant.ts)Outbound traffic is account-authenticated; inbound has no key to carry because the provider
calls us, so the app must be recovered from the event. That asymmetry is irreducible — three
different recoveries were not. Before this there were three (URL path with an inlined sole-tenant
fallback; nothing at all for the store lanes; an ad-hoc
app_identifierlookup for grants), whichmeant three places to get multi-tenant attribution wrong, and one was already wrong (defect 2
above). Resolution order, each rung justified:
packageName/ Apple'sbundleIdagainsttenants.app_identifier.This is the store lanes' real attribution, because their endpoints are per-deployment: one
Pub/Sub topic and one ASSN URL serve every tenant.
silently denies a paying customer, and guessing credits the wrong app's ledger.
Resolving on product id is deliberately excluded: two tenants can both sell
coins_550, so aproduct-only lookup either errors on multiple rows or files one app's purchase in another's ledger.
Server — migrations (both DEPLOYED)
159_balance_rpcs_resolve_subject_from_token.sql— above.160_entitlement_owns_sku.sql—entitlement_owns(sku): the narrower questionis_premiumcannot answer, or a store keeps selling a lifetime unlock to someone who already bought it. Counts
current_period_end IS NULLas current, because a lifetime entitlement carries a NULL expiry(090) and
is_premiumrequires> now()— it would read every lifetime unlock as EXPIRED. NULLis checked first to short-circuit before a comparison that would read as false.
Stated limit:
subscriptionscarriesUNIQUE(email)(001) and cannot represent owning twoone-time products.
entitlement_records(072) could, but 155 records it as 0 rows in productionwith an
app_user_id TEXThaving no defined relationship to a subject — using it would meaninventing that relationship and shipping a guess as a security predicate. So this reads the live
table: one one-time product per user, which is what the storage can honestly express.
SDK — grant drain (
core/ConsumableGrants.kt)The host declares only "credit N of sku under grantId". Which skus are consumable, that the balance
is server-authoritative and must be debited rather than decremented, that the debit needs a
caller-owned idempotency key, and that a crash mid-transfer is ordinary — those are facts about
PayCraft, not about the app. The first host to do this itself wrote 118 lines.
The ordering is the load-bearing part. A drain is two writes against different systems and
either naive order fails: credit-then-debit double-credits on retry, debit-then-credit loses
the purchase if the crash lands between. So the intent is persisted before the server is
touched — persist
(grantId, sku, quantity)→spend(idempotencyKey = grantId)→ invoke the hostsink with the same id → clear. Resume replays from the spend: the server recognises the replay and
returns the original balance, and the host credits idempotently on the same key. Every step is safe
to repeat, which is the only property that makes a two-system transfer survivable without a
distributed transaction. The host never chooses the amount (AR-013).
SDK — client surface
BillingManager/PayCraftRepository(+Impl,Fake) —balances, refreshBalance, spend, ownedSkus, refreshOwnership. Interface defaults so existing implementors compile.PayCraftStore/PayCraftSettingsStore— durable pending-grant persistence for the drain.PayCraftSetup—payCraft(...)wires the sink.PayCraft.products— non-subscription catalogue derived from the sameplansthe paywallrenders, so the two can never quote different prices for one sku. Excludes subscriptions and
trials: a store listing a plan beside a coin pack invites a user to buy a subscription they may
already hold, through a different flow.
BillingPlan.grantQuantity— defaults to 0, so an older server omitting the field yields apack that visibly grants nothing rather than silently crediting a guess. Display only.
Dashboard — store sync
googleplay-inapp-sync.ts— Play managed products viainappproductsv3. Separate modulefrom
googleplay-product-syncbecause managed products and subscriptions are different APIresources: different endpoint, body, and price encoding (subscription base plan carries Money
{currencyCode, units, nanos}; managed product carriesprices[region]as a string ofmicro-units).
appstore-inapp-sync.ts— ASC in-app purchases with theCONSUMABLE/NON_CONSUMABLEsplit.product-write.ts+route.ts— refuses a consumable that grants nothing; preserves store idsand unmentioned columns across a patch; refuses body-supplied
tenant_id/id/store ids.stripe-route-helper.ts,{stripe,razorpay,cashfree}-product-sync.ts,checkout-router.ts,mcp-tools.ts,docs/PROVIDERS.md.UI
PayCraftStoreSection— no purchase callback (AR-014); callsrepository.checkout()itself.On 2026-10-19 a host-callback surface shipped a dead upgrade row that reported
clickable=true, ran its handler, matched its golden and passed its logic tests — only an on-device render caught
it. A surface owning its presentation cannot fail that way.
PayCraftProductGate— closed until the server says otherwise. Never opens optimistically onpurchase success: Play and StoreKit both report success for transactions that later fail
verification. The inverse matters as much — a refresh removes a sku on false, so a refund
closes a gate an earlier purchase opened.
PayCraftBalance— balance row/chip. Not per store row: a pack's balance is the balance of thecurrency it grants, not of the pack sku.
Tests

Deployment status
Migrations
159+160applied to production (verified againstsupabase_migrations.schema_migrationsand live function ACLs). Edge Functions and dashboarddeployed. The SDK side is unpublished — apps cannot consume the new composables or the drain until a
release, so the server leads the client.
