Hi, I'm Kashif Javed.
π MPhil (Master of Philosophy) Physics (18 Years Education) CGPA : 3.26/4.00.
π¬ Research Course: Introduction to Density Functional Theory(DFT) as implemented in Vienna Ab initio Simulation Package (VASP).
π¬ MPhil Thesis (Grade A+): Widely Tunable Spontaneous Ferromagnetism in PtXY (X=S,Se Y=Se, Te) Janus via Hole doping: A First Principles Characteristics.
π¬ Conducted first-principles simulations using Density Functional Theory (DFT) with the Vienna Ab initio Simulation Package (VASP).
π§ͺ Investigated the electronic and magnetic properties of PtXY (X, Y = S, Se, Te; X β Y) Janus monolayers.
𧲠Demonstrated that controlled hole doping switches non-magnetic PtXY Janus monolayers into half-metallic ferromagnetic materials.
β‘ Discovered half-metallic behavior within a specific hole-doping range, highlighting potential applications in spintronics.
π Analyzed Density of States (DOS) and electronic band structures to explain changes in the Fermi level after doping.
π Observed that increasing hole concentration enhances the average magnetic moment.
π Achieved maximum magnetic moments of:
PtSSe: 2.35 ΞΌB
PtSTe: 1.60 ΞΌB
PtSeTe: 1.52 ΞΌB
βοΈ Investigated of Group V-A Bi and As substitution, at the Te and Se sites respectively, in PtSeTe as good candidates for hole-doping.
βοΈ Explored extrinsic hole doping through Bi and As substitution, predicting enhanced magnetic properties in the PtSeTe system.
π Contributed to the understanding of 2D magnetic materials for next-generation spintronic and nanoelectronic devices.
