Bumps the cargo group with 3 updates: pyo3, rand and thiserror.

Updates pyo3 from 0.29.0 to 0.29.2

Release notes

Sourced from pyo3's releases.

PyO3 0.29.2

This patch fixes a regression in PyO3 0.29.1 which broke PyPy 3.11 compatibility (#[pyclass] types would crash PyPy on instance deletion).

A few further fixes have also landed with similar themes to PyO3 0.29.1: fixes to minor reference counting bugs, rough edges which would cause crashes, issues which would cause failed builds, and fixes to experimental-inspect type stub generation.

For a full list of the exact fixes please consult the CHANGELOG.

Thank you to the following contributors for the improvements:

PyO3 0.29.1

This patch is a stack of fixes for PyO3 0.29. Particular themes include:

  • Fixes addressing build failures with newer interpreters such as GraalPy 3.13 and CPython 3.15
  • Fixes resolving potential memory leaks inside #[pyclass] implementation internals
  • Fixes to the new experimental-inspect type stub machinery

For a full list of the fixes in these above themes and more, please consult the CHANGELOG.

  • Fix #[classmethod] magic methods receiving the instance instead of its type when invoked through a type slot. #6283
  • Fix pyo3_build_config::add_libpython_rpath_link_args emitting Unix-style rpath linker arguments on Windows and Cygwin. #6284

  • Fix missing trailing nul in Python 3.9 #[pyclass] docstrings. #6296

[0.29.1] - 2026-08-02

Changed

  • Use the inline definition of Py_TYPE in the unlimited API on 3.14+ #6179

Fixed

  • Fix incorrect pointer arithmetic in FFI definitions PyObject_GET_WEAKREFS_LISTPTR and PyHeapType_GET_MEMBERS. #6145
  • Fix compilation error with nightly feature on PyPy and GraalPy due to !Ungil implementations for FFI types not available on those platforms. #6146
  • Fix append_to_inittab and PyInit_<module> internal module definition corruption on 32-bit and big-endian platforms on Python 3.15+. #6150
  • Fix return value of PyClassGuardMutSuper::as_super being scoped to the full guard lifetime, now the &mut borrow of the as_super() call. #6181
  • Fix builds for free-threaded interpreters older than 3.15 erroring with "cannot set a minimum Python version" when an abi3t-py3* feature is enabled and the configuration comes from PYO3_CONFIG_FILE, sysconfigdata or cross-compilation defaults. #6192
  • Fix a memory leak when deallocating #[pyclass(dict)] instances with a populated __dict__. #6198
  • Fix an abort inside a #[pyclass]'s GC traversal when the traversal is stopped early. #6206
  • Fix reference cycles through the __dict__ of a #[pyclass(dict)] never being collected. #6206
  • Fix building on GraalPy 3.13. #6208
  • Fix reference count leak of references to #[pyclass] type objects held by their instances on instance deallocation. #6224
  • Fix FFI definitions PyByteArray_GET_SIZE, PyList_GET_SIZE, and PySet_GET_SIZE to use an atomic load for free-threaded Python. #6230
  • Fix a memory leak on Python 3.11 and 3.12 where creating an instance of a #[pyclass(dict)] class leaked one empty dict per instance. #6234
  • Fix experimental-inspect type stubs to emit the arguments of many magic methods as positional-only to match runtime behavior, rather than positional-or-keyword. #6239
  • Fix experimental-inspect type stubs to emit the Python name rather than the Rust name for #[pyfunction(name = "...")]. #6254
  • Fix experimental-inspect generating invalid internal JSON when #[pymodule] members are gated by #[cfg]. #6255
  • Fix __inplace_concat__ and __inplace_repeat__ overriding __concat__ and __repeat__ when both were defined. #6260
  • Fix conversion of out-of-range time::Duration values to return OverflowError instead of panicking. #6266
  • Fix experimental-inspect type stubs padding blank lines inside indented docstrings. #6270

Updates rand from 0.9.5 to 0.10.1

Changelog

Sourced from rand's changelog.

[0.10.1] — 2026-02-11

This release includes a fix for a soundness bug; see #1763.

Changes

  • Document panic behavior of make_rng and add #[track_caller] (#1761)
  • Deprecate feature log (#1763)

#1761: rust-random/rand#1761 #1763: rust-random/rand#1763

[0.10.0] - 2026-02-08

Changes

  • The dependency on rand_chacha has been replaced with a dependency on chacha20. This changes the implementation behind StdRng, but the output remains the same. There may be some API breakage when using the ChaCha-types directly as these are now the ones in chacha20 instead of rand_chacha (#1642).
  • Rename fns IndexedRandom::choose_multiple -> sample, choose_multiple_array -> sample_array, choose_multiple_weighted -> sample_weighted, struct SliceChooseIter -> IndexedSamples and fns IteratorRandom::choose_multiple -> sample, choose_multiple_fill -> sample_fill (#1632)
  • Use Edition 2024 and MSRV 1.85 (#1653)
  • Let Fill be implemented for element types, not sliceable types (#1652)
  • Fix OsError::raw_os_error on UEFI targets by returning Option<usize> (#1665)
  • Replace fn TryRngCore::read_adapter(..) -> RngReadAdapter with simpler struct RngReader (#1669)
  • Remove fns SeedableRng::from_os_rng, try_from_os_rng (#1674)
  • Remove Clone support for StdRng, ReseedingRng (#1677)
  • Use postcard instead of bincode to test the serde feature (#1693)
  • Avoid excessive allocation in IteratorRandom::sample when amount is much larger than iterator size (#1695)
  • Rename os_rng -> sys_rng, OsRng -> SysRng, OsError -> SysError (#1697)
  • Rename Rng -> RngExt as upstream rand_core has renamed RngCore -> Rng (#1717)

Additions

  • Add fns IndexedRandom::choose_iter, choose_weighted_iter (#1632)
  • Pub export Xoshiro128PlusPlus, Xoshiro256PlusPlus prngs (#1649)
  • Pub export ChaCha8Rng, ChaCha12Rng, ChaCha20Rng behind chacha feature (#1659)
  • Fn rand::make_rng() -> R where R: SeedableRng (#1734)

Removals

  • Removed ReseedingRng (#1722)
  • Removed unused feature "nightly" (#1732)
  • Removed feature small_rng (#1732)

#1632: rust-random/rand#1632 #1642: rust-random/rand#1642 #1649: rust-random/rand#1649 #1652: rust-random/rand#1652 #1653: rust-random/rand#1653 #1659: rust-random/rand#1659 #1665: rust-random/rand#1665 #1669: rust-random/rand#1669 #1674: rust-random/rand#1674 #1677: rust-random/rand#1677 #1693: rust-random/rand#1693 #1695: rust-random/rand#1695 #1697: rust-random/rand#1697
