Is it possible to reset the terminal state to how it was before the program started?

I have been playing around with TermCL and there is one thing I cannot do:

• I give some command before starting my program, so my term window is half full.
• I start my program and it redraws the screen as needed.
• I quit my program. The terminal is correctly reset so I can continue using it. However, my previous output above is gone.

Am I missing something obvious? How do achieve this?

I will have to investigate. I'm not too sure why this is. I enable alternative buffers when the program starts,when the buffer is disabled on shutdown the main buffer should retain everything that was there previously.

Is it still up to date ? On alacritty (linux), it does not reset to the terminal state. I tried t.set_term_mode(&screen, .Restored)` but it does not works for me
