Computer Engineering student at the University of Waterloo building reliable systems across firmware, backend infrastructure, real-time data, and simulation.
Currently:
- Studying computer architecture, Systems Programming and Concurrency, Discrete Mathematics and Logic, Probability Theory, Embedded Microprocessor Systems, and Signals and Systems at the University of Waterloo's Computer Engineering Program 2B term.
- Developing satellite firmware with UW Orbital.
Selected work:
- Satellite binary logging: designed a lossless C/Python protocol that reduced representative logs from 271 to 69 bytes, with stream recovery, ARM cross-compilation, and 34 cross-language tests. Firmware PR · Ground-station PR
- Deephaven UI infrastructure: added 2D resizing for nested panel intersections with nine automated drag tests. PR
- Faster CI: sharded Deephaven's cross-browser Playwright suites, cutting runtime from 53 to 22 minutes. PR
- Controlled table state: added programmatic sorting and quick-filter state across Python APIs and TypeScript/React. Sorting PR · Grid-state PR
- Vehicle simulation: built custom suspension, tire traction, drivetrain, and engine simulation in SimpleCar2; the accompanying tutorial has 50k+ views.
