GPAL - Generally Positive Automation Library

GPAL is a fluent-interface automation library from Software Decisions, Inc. (SDi) designed for open, efficient code-driven automation workflows.

Copyright © 2026 Software Decisions, Inc. (SDi). All rights reserved.

License

GPAL is released under the Business Source License 1.1 (BSL 1.1).

  • Source-available — full source code is public for viewing, modification, and production use.
  • Production use is permitted under our Additional Use Grant (see LICENSE for full text):
You may use GPAL in commercial, internal, hosted, revenue-generating, or mission-critical production environments — provided it is not offered to third parties as a competing product, library, framework, tool, SDK, service, managed offering, or commercial substitute that directly competes with or undercuts SDi's GPAL products/services.
  • On the Change Date (the earlier of January 1, 2031 or four years after first public distribution of a version), the license automatically transitions to the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later (GPLv3+), making it fully open source.
  • This is not an open-source license (per the Open Source Definition) due to production use limitations before the Change Date. For commercial use exceeding the grant, contact SDi for a separate license.
