Stop resending bans after a restart and share bans across servers - #42
Conversation
banned-players.json keeps ban times to the second, so a ban read back after a restart lost its milliseconds and was posted as a new ban. Ban times are now compared in whole seconds, including state files written before this change. Ban posts now carry the ban's start and end times so the API can tell when Main and Lobby report the same ban. With ban-mirror.sync (off by default), each server also applies bans and unbans made on the other servers that share the API. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

- Around line 174-186: Update the ban and unban processing around the
`remote.bans` loop and the unban loop so an unban cannot pardon a player who
still has an active remote ban. Track IDs present in `remote.bans` and skip
those IDs before the unban loop calls `list.pardon` or removes them from
`known`.

Bans reached Discord more than once.
Restart resend.
banned-players.jsonstores ban times to the second. A ban mirrored live was saved toban-mirror.ymlwith milliseconds, so after a restart its times no longer matched and it was posted as a new ban. That happened on TFMCMain at 06:10 on Oct 19. Ban times are now compared in whole seconds, including state files written by earlier versions. One ban, every server. Ban posts now carry
banned_at_ms/expires_at_ms, so the API can tell when Main and Lobby report the same ban and send one message. A duplicate is logged as "already sent from another server".With the new
ban-mirror.syncsetting (defaultfalse), each tick fetchesGET /skins/moderation/bansafter posting local changes, then:Player#ban. A newer ban with a different length replaces the local copy.Set
sync: trueon TFMCMain and TFMCLobby only; Tutorial shares the live API.Needs the backend change: TF-Minecraft/TFMCWeb#284. Against an older backend, the sync fetch warns once and posting works as before.
