Well, hello there! I've been writing software for 20 years.
Yes, I'm old. No, I'm not switching to Vim.
SnapDock and Glint are alive and kicking.
And yes, I still get ideas at 2 AM that seem brilliant until morning.
Note
I'm stepping back from publishing new open-source projects.
Why? Glad you asked. Even if you didn't.
I love open source. I fork, star, report bugs, and occasionally fix them.
Revolutionary stuff, I know.
But things have changed.
Warning
π€ Scraper finds your code.
π§ AI reads your code.
π» Someone gets a working solution.
π¦ You get crickets.
Not even a lousy fridge magnet.
I don't mind people using my code. That's literally the point!
But a star? A mention? A link?
Would it kill us to remember who wrote it?
I'm not quitting development or abandoning existing projects. Just reconsidering where I publish new ones.
Also available on the Snap Store and Microsoft Store where appropriate.
