On every suspend and resume the PM core switches to the text console first, which flashes the kernel log on the panel for a moment. The display driver restores its own state across system sleep, so it doesn't need that. This tells the PM core so with
pm_vt_switch_required(dev, false)once the component master is added, and unregisters on remove.Tested on a J616C (M4 Max) with sddm and Hyprland: s2idle suspend/resume, no console flash, the desktop comes back as before. Running daily since 21 Oct (7.2.10 J616C tree); applies to integration/aurora unchanged.
