Summary

Close the bounded Pydantic trial for the JSON simulation case boundary. The measured prototype needed 34 nonblank implementation lines plus call-site wiring to replace nine current lines, while retaining the shared validators for accepted numeric strings and legacy diagnostics. It would also add a runtime dependency, so this PR records the no-adoption decision.

The new tests pin numeric-string conversion, boolean and nonfinite rejection, missing/unknown-key diagnostics, nonmutation, and explicit-key layout behavior. Runtime parsing and the public WEC builder are unchanged. All work is in wec-sim-python.

Verification

  • Local prototype: 13 inputs had identical values, explicit-key sets, exception types, and messages.
  • With Pydantic absent: 138 case-boundary, CLI/provenance, builder-recovery, Python API, Sphere fixture parity, and RM3 two-column fixture parity tests passed.

Closes #634.
