Use built-in pagination instead of paginator - #408

commit: |
Replace paginator(ctx.db, schema) with ctx.db.query(...).paginate() in the component. Paths that paginated more than once per transaction now iterate queries with row/byte budgets (stream deltas) or use .first() bounded by _creationTime (deleting a user's threads), since components may only call .paginate() once per transaction. Stale paginator cursors (JSON arrays) in deletion jobs restart from the beginning, which is safe since rows are deleted as they're read. Temporarily installs convex-test from pkg.pr.new (PR 163), which enforces the one-paginate-per-transaction rule.
Restore convex-helpers paginator for stream delta reads, user deletion, and the thread deletion messages page, which share transactions with other paginated reads. Keep built-in .paginate() for listThreadsByUserId, getFilesToDelete, and vector.paginate, and return getFilesToDelete's full pagination result using paginationResultValidator.

very cool, exicted to be able to use more of the built in paginate inside components.
Mutations may call .paginate() more than once per transaction, so switch thread, user, and stream deletion from paginator to built-in .paginate(). Cursors in scheduled deletion jobs from before this change are paginator cursors; detect them and restart from the beginning, which is safe since these jobs delete rows as they read them. listDeltas and getStreamingMessagesWithMetadata stay on paginator. Install convex-test from pkg.pr.new/convex/convex-test@163, which limits only queries to one .paginate() per transaction.

- Line 480: Update deleteStreamSync and its deletePageForStreamId calls so
multi-page deletion does not invoke native pagination more than once within a
mutation; retain the helper paginator or separate page deletions into distinct
transactions. Apply the same one-call-per-transaction constraint to the combined
message-and-stream deletion path in threads.ts.

Replaces
paginatorfromconvex-helpers/server/paginationwith Convex's built-in.paginate()in the component, except on two read paths that read one page per stream.Depends on the upcoming Convex release, in which components can call
.paginate(). The limit is counted per transaction, across the app function and all nested component calls: a transaction whose top-level function is a mutation may call.paginate()multiple times, while a query may call it once. Temporarily installs convex-test from https://pkg.pr.new/convex/convex-test@163, which enforces that rule, until it is released.Switched to built-in

cursorindeleteAllForThreadIdAsyncanddeleteStreamAsync,threadsCursor/messagesCursorindeleteAllForUserIdAsync,deltaCursorindeleteAllStreamsForThreadIdAsync).deletionCursorinstreams.tsdetects paginator cursors (a JSON array ending in a number_creationTimeand a string_id, or[]) and restarts those fromnull. This is safe because these jobs delete rows as they read them. Other cursors are passed through to.paginate().listThreadsByUserId,getFilesToDelete, orvector.paginateacross the deploy would need to restart fromnull.Tests
