Motivation/summary

Add new supported os to the supported list for our os smoke tests.

Checklist

  • Does not have user-facing changes

For functional changes, consider:

  • Is it observable through the addition of either logging or metrics?
  • Is its use being published in telemetry to enable product improvement?
  • Have system tests been added to avoid regression?

This pull request does not have a backport label. Could you fix it @aelnahas? 🙏
To fixup this pull request, you need to add the backport labels for the needed
branches, such as:

  • backport-8.19 is the label to automatically backport to the 8.19 branch.
  • backport-9./d is the label to automatically backport to the 9./d branch. /d is the digit.
  • backport-active-all is the label that automatically backports to all active branches.
  • backport-active-9 is the label that automatically backports to all active minor branches for the 9 major.

What changed in this PR

Expands APM Server’s OS smoke-test coverage to newer supported releases, addressing the coverage gap described in #21245.

Changes:

  • Adds Ubuntu 26.04, RHEL 10, Rocky Linux 10, and AlmaLinux 10 to the smoke-test matrix.
  • Adds matching Terraform image owners, instance settings, installation commands, and SSH users.
  • Updates workflow documentation to reflect the expanded matrix and existing Rocky Linux 8 coverage.
File Description
testing/smoke/os_matrix.sh Adds four newer OS releases to the test matrix.
testing/infra/terraform/modules/standalone_apm_server/main.tf Configures provisioning for the added OS releases.
.github/workflows/docs/smoke-tests-os.yml.md Synchronizes the documented OS list with the matrix.
