## License and governance

Seamless Auth is run under the fells-code [GOVERNANCE.md](https://github.com/fells-code/.github/blob/main/GOVERNANCE.md), which includes the
[Seamless Auth License Pledge](https://github.com/fells-code/.github/blob/main/GOVERNANCE.md#the-seamless-auth-license-pledge). In brief:

- **No enterprise edition.** Seamless Auth is Apache-2.0, and there is no paid or closed version.
- **Features stay open.** Single sign-on, SCIM, multi-factor authentication, organizations, and
security features such as audit logging and admin controls are part of the open source product
and stay in it. This is about where features live, not a list of what ships today: SAML and SCIM
are not built yet.
- **No relicensing.** Code released under Apache-2.0 will not be moved to a source-available or
more restrictive license.
- **Hosting and support are what is sold.** Any managed offering charges for running the software
and for support, never for features missing from the open source release.

Read the pledge in full in [GOVERNANCE.md](https://github.com/fells-code/.github/blob/main/GOVERNANCE.md#the-seamless-auth-license-pledge).
