Bumps
webpki-rootsto 1.0.11 (lockfile only).1.0.10/1.0.11 remove the eMudhra emSign roots (
emSign ECC Root CA - G3,emSign ECC Root CA - C3,emSign Root CA - C1) following the eMudhra intermediate-key compromise disclosed on 2026-10-17 (https://emudhra.we-have-a-problem.com/). Clients that use rustls withwebpki-roots(reqwestrustls-tls, ureq) do not enforce Certificate Transparency, so until this bump they accept certificates issued from the compromised intermediates.Older pinned versions also drop the roots Mozilla has since retired (e.g. DigiCert Global Root CA, GTS Root R2), which matches the current Mozilla root store and Chrome/Firefox behaviour.
emSign Root CA - G1stays in 1.0.11: it is not in the affected chains, which areemSign Root TLS CA - G3(cross-signed byemSign ECC Root CA - G3) andAAA Certificate Services(already absent from webpki-roots 1.x).No code changes; the only diff is the
webpki-rootsversion and checksum inCargo.lock(including nested lockfiles where present).[AI-assisted - Claude]
