Paper Mode S9 — manual gated compile on the accepted Draft

Important

Problem — Auto-compile fires behind the human's back and can compile un-reviewed agent text. The human wants to control when compilation happens and to compile only what they've accepted.
Approach — Compilation runs only on an explicit Compile action and compiles the accepted Draft; un-accepted Pending Hunks are excluded because they aren't in the file.
Scope — in: a manual Compile control that compiles the accepted Draft; pending hunks excluded. · out: SyncTeX, linked scroll, auto-compile (deferred).

Acceptance Criteria

• Compilation runs only when the human triggers the Compile action — never automatically on agent or human edits.
• The compiled source is the accepted Draft; un-accepted Pending Hunks are not present in it.
• Compile status (compiling / done / error) is surfaced without blocking editing.

Testing Decisions

Extend the LaTeX compile-bridge test surface: compile fires only on explicit action; pending-hunk content is absent from the compiled input; status transitions reported.

Key Decisions

Manual, accepted-Draft-only compile — the counterpart to per-hunk review.

Constraints & Invariants

No compile is triggered by an edit event in Paper Mode. Pending hunks never reach the compiler.

Prior Art

The LaTeX compile bridge in the chat bridge; #1403 (compile button); S2 (Draft) and S6 (accept).
