setup-go reads go-version-file (go.mod), so v0.15.1 shipped with the Go 1.27.0 stdlib, vulnerable to the net/http and crypto/tls DoS issues CVE-2026-78667, CVE-2026-78669, CVE-2026-97031 (fixed in 1.26.9/1.27.2). Bumping the go directive makes the next release embed the fixed stdlib.

Closing in favor of powerman/dockerize: the maintainer shipped the toolchain fix in v0.25.3 within an hour of the upstream issue (powerman/dockerize#407 / issue #406), so we switched our foreman-proxy images to that fork. Thanks for the quick v0.15.1 x/crypto bump earlier this month - if this repo resumes building releases from a Go >= 1.27.2 stdlib, we would happily switch back. |

actions/setup-goin.github/workflows/release.ymlusesgo-version-file: go.mod, so releases are built with the toolchain declared by thegodirective.v0.15.1shipped with Go 1.27.0, whose stdlib is affected by three HIGH DoS issues fixed in 1.26.9/1.27.2:net/http: DoS via crafted HTTP Range headersnet/http/internal/http2: DoS via excessive HTTP/2 SETTINGScrypto/tls: DoS via multiple ECH outer extension referencesThis PR bumps the
godirective to1.27.2so the next release embeds the fixed stdlib. One-line change, no dependency updates needed (go mod tidyproduces no diff).Context: Closes #347 - we scan the foreman-proxy container images (which embed dockerize) with Trivy at
--exit-code 1on HIGH, so release binaries built from the vulnerable stdlib keep failing our scans.
