This PR adds Kali NetHunter kernel support for the Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold (Tensor G4, codename comet).

Changes

  • arch/arm64/configs/comet_defconfig: Device-specific Kconfig fragment (radio, touch, display)
  • arch/arm64/configs/comet_nethunter_defconfig: NetHunter wireless drivers (ath9k_htc, rtl88xxau, cfg80211, mac80211, etc.)
  • nethunter-launch.sh: Interactive launcher for device verification, chroot entry, kernel flashing, and recovery
  • NET-HUNTER-PIXEL-9-PRO-FOLD-GUIDE.md: Complete setup documentation (build, flash, verify, troubleshoot)
  • README.md: Added NetHunter quick-start section

Build Configuration

  • Uses system Clang/LLVM toolchain (Kali Linux host)
  • GKI build with LLVM=1 and CC=clang
  • Merged defconfig: zumapro_defconfig (Tensor G4 base) → comet_defconfig (device) → comet_nethunter_defconfig (NetHunter drivers)
  • AnyKernel zip configured for Pixel 9 Pro Fold (comet, boot partition, A/B slots)

Verification

  • Pre-built AnyKernel zip tested with emulator (app UI, chroot CLI)
  • Kernel-level features (HID, WiFi injection, Bluetooth) require physical device

Known Limitations

  • Open-source tree lacks proprietary private/google-modules/ (radio, touch firmware)
  • Full driver support requires complete GKI workspace with Google private modules
  • Kernel rebuild from clean source requires merging defconfig fragments manually

Trijal08 pushed a commit to Trijal08/anaconda_kernel_google_tensynos that referenced this pull request Jun 2, 2026
commit 75141a770f4f8225d316f6c7e146723a32e9720e upstream.

When concurrently bringing up and down two SMT threads of a physical
core, many warning call traces occur as below:

The issue timeline is as follows:

 1. When the system starts,
    cpufreq: CPU: 220, policy->related_cpus: 220-221, policy->cpus: 220-221

 2. Offline CPU 220 and CPU 221.

 3. Online CPU 220
    - CPU 221 is now offline, as acpi_get_psd_map() use
      for_each_online_cpu(), so the cpu_data->shared_cpu_map,
      policy->cpus, and related_cpus has only CPU 220.

    cpufreq: CPU: 220, policy->related_cpus: 220, policy->cpus: 220

 4. Offline CPU 220

 5. Online CPU 221, the below call trace occurs:
    - Since CPU 220 and CPU 221 share one policy, and
      policy->related_cpus = 220 after step 3, so CPU 221
      is not in policy->related_cpus but
      per_cpu(cpufreq_cpu_data, cpu221) is not NULL.

After reverting commit 56eb0c0ed345 ("ACPI: CPPC: Fix remaining
for_each_possible_cpu() to use online CPUs"), the issue disappeared.

The _PSD (P-State Dependency) defines the hardware-level dependency of
frequency control across CPU cores. Since this relationship is a physical
attribute of the hardware topology, it remains constant regardless of the
online or offline status of the CPUs.

Using for_each_online_cpu() in acpi_get_psd_map() is problematic. If a
CPU is offline, it will be excluded from the shared_cpu_map.
Consequently, if that CPU is brought online later, the kernel will fail
to recognize it as part of any shared frequency domain.

Switch back to for_each_possible_cpu() to ensure that all cores defined
in the ACPI tables are correctly mapped into their respective performance
domains from the start. This aligns with the logic of policy->related_cpus,
which must encompass all potentially available cores in the domain to
prevent logic gaps during CPU hotplug operations.

To resolve the original issue regarding the "nosmt" or "nosmt=force"
boot parameter, as send_pcc_cmd() function already does if (!desc)
continue, so reverting that loop back to for_each_possible_cpu() is ok,
only need to change the match_cpc_ptr NULL case in acpi_get_psd_map() to
continue as Sean suggested.

How to reproduce, on arm64 machine with SMT support which use acpi cppc
cpufreq driver:

	bash test.sh 220 & bash test.sh 221 &

	The test.sh is as below:
		while true
			do
			echo 0 > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu${1}/online
			sleep 0.5
			cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu${1}/cpufreq/related_cpus
			echo 1 >  /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu${1}/online
			cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu${1}/cpufreq/related_cpus
		done

Trijal08 pushed a commit to Trijal08/anaconda_kernel_google_tensynos that referenced this pull request Jun 2, 2026
[ Upstream commit 54ef02487914c24170c7e1c061e45212dc55365e ]

ice_reset_all_vfs() ignores the return value of ice_vf_rebuild_vsi().
When the VSI rebuild fails (e.g. during NVM firmware update via
nvmupdate64e), ice_vsi_rebuild() tears down the VSI on its error path,
leaving txq_map and rxq_map as NULL. The subsequent unconditional call
to ice_vf_post_vsi_rebuild() leads to a NULL pointer dereference in
ice_ena_vf_q_mappings() when it accesses vsi->txq_map[0].

The single-VF reset path in ice_reset_vf() already handles this
correctly by checking the return value of ice_vf_reconfig_vsi() and
skipping ice_vf_post_vsi_rebuild() on failure.

Apply the same pattern to ice_reset_all_vfs(): check the return value
of ice_vf_rebuild_vsi() and skip ice_vf_post_vsi_rebuild() and
ice_eswitch_attach_vf() on failure. The VF is left safely disabled
(ICE_VF_STATE_INIT not set, VFGEN_RSTAT not set to VFACTIVE) and can
be recovered via a VFLR triggered by a PCI reset of the VF
(sysfs reset or driver rebind).

Note that this patch does not prevent the VF VSI rebuild from failing
during NVM update — the underlying cause is firmware being in a
transitional state while the EMP reset is processed, which can cause
Admin Queue commands (ice_add_vsi, ice_cfg_vsi_lan) to fail. This
patch only prevents the subsequent NULL pointer dereference that
crashes the kernel when the rebuild does fail.

Trijal08 pushed a commit to Trijal08/anaconda_kernel_google_tensynos that referenced this pull request Jul 10, 2026
[ Upstream commit e374b22e9b07b72a25909621464ff74096151bfb ]

sctp_stream_update() is only invoked when the association is moved into
COOKIE_WAIT during association setup/reconfiguration. In this path, the
outbound stream scheduler state (stream->out_curr) is expected to be
clean, since no user data should have been transmitted yet unless the
state machine has already partially progressed.

However, a corner case exists in sctp_sf_do_5_2_6_stale(): when a
Stale Cookie ERROR is received, the association is rolled back from
COOKIE_ECHOED to COOKIE_WAIT. In this scenario, user data may already
have been queued and even bundled with the COOKIE-ECHO chunk.

During the rollback, sctp_stream_update() frees the old stream table
and installs a new one, but it does not invalidate stream->out_curr.
As a result, out_curr may still point to a freed sctp_stream_out
entry from the previous stream state.

Later, SCTP scheduler dequeue paths (FCFS, RR, PRIO, etc.) rely on
stream->out_curr->ext, which can lead to use-after-free once the old
stream state has been released via sctp_stream_free().

This results in crashes such as (reported by Yuqi):

  BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in sctp_sched_fcfs_dequeue+0x13a/0x140
  Read of size 8 at addr ff1100004d4d3208 by task mini_poc/9312

   sctp_inq_push+0x1db/0x270
   sctp_rcv+0x138d/0x3c10

Fix this by fully purging the association outqueue when handling the
Stale Cookie case. This ensures all pending transmit and retransmit
state is dropped, and any scheduler cached pointers are invalidated,
making it safe to rebuild stream state during COOKIE_WAIT restart.

Updating only stream->out_curr would be insufficient, since queued
and retransmittable data would still reference the old stream state and
trigger later use-after-free in dequeue paths.

strset_add_str_mem() might reallocate the strset data buffer in order to
accommodate the provided string 's'. However, if 's' points to a string
already present in the buffer, it becomes dangling after the realloc.
This leads to a use-after-free when attempting to memcpy() the string
into the new buffer.

One scenario that triggers this problematic path is when resolve_btfids
attempts to patch kfunc prototypes using existing BTF parameter names:

 | resolve_btfids: function bpf_list_push_back_impl already exists in BTF

Compiling resolve_btfids with fsanitize=address generates a detailed

While resolve_btfids could be refactored to avoid this call path, let's
instead fix this issue at the source in strset__add_str() and avoid
similar scenarios.

Let's check if set->strs_data was reallocated and whether 's' points to
an internal string within the old strset buffer. In such case, 's' is
reconstructed to point to the new buffer.

While already here, also fix strset__find_str() which suffers from the
same problem by factoring out the common operations into a new helper
function strset_str_append().

…md xfrm interface

[ Upstream commit a90b2a1aaacbcf0f91d7e4868ad6c51c5dee814b ]

collect_md property on xfrm interfaces can only be set on device creation,
thus xfrmi_changelink() should fail when called on such interfaces.

The check to enforce this was done only in the case where the xi was
returned from xfrmi_locate() which doesn't look for the collect_md
interface, and thus the validation was never reached.

Calling changelink would thus errornously place the special interface xi
in the xfrmi_net->xfrmi hash, but since it also exists in the
xfrmi_net->collect_md_xfrmi pointer it would lead to a double free when
the net namespace was taken down [1].

Change the check to use the xi from netdev_priv which is available earlier
in the function to prevent changes in xfrm collect_md interfaces.

A process might fail to allocate a new bitmap when trying to expand its
proc->dmap. In that case, dbitmap_grow() fails and frees the old bitmap
via dbitmap_free(). However, the driver calls dbitmap_free() again when
the same process terminates, leading to a double-free error:

…w page

commit 5ec42d57655c690234c14aece6dd3f209778c1d8 upstream.

Explicitly clear role.invalid when deriving a child shadow page's role from
its parent to harden against bugs elsewhere in KVM, as violating KVM's
invariant that invalid pages are NOT on the list of active MMU pages leads
to use-after-free due to __kvm_mmu_prepare_zap_page() using list_add()
instead of list_move() when processing an invalid shadow page, i.e. makes a
bad situation far worse.

Yell loudly if the parent is invalid, as it means KVM has missed a validity
check, i.e. KVM is attempting to map memory using an invalid/obsolete root,
but continue on as the child is otherwise still a valid shadow page.

[ Upstream commit 81905b5acbe77284734438df3fbec1158e6429a3 ]

A deadlock occurs in the audit subsystem when duplicating
executable-related rules.

When a file is moved (e.g., via do_renameat2()), the VFS layer locks
the parent directory (I_MUTEX_PARENT), which synchronously triggers an
fsnotify_move event. If an existing executable audit rule matches the
file being moved, the audit subsystem catches this event and calls
audit_dupe_exe() to duplicate the watch and update the rule. Then,
audit_alloc_mark() would call kern_path_parent() to resolve the path,
leading to a blind attempt to acquire the exact same I_MUTEX_PARENT lock
already held by the task, resulting in the following recursive locking
deadlock:

The aforementioned deadlock can be consistently reproduced by running
the script below:

 audit-dupe-exe-deadlock.sh
 --------------------------
 #!/bin/bash
 auditctl -D
 mkdir -p /tmp/foo
 touch /tmp/file
 auditctl -a always,exit -F exe=/tmp/file -F path=/tmp/file -S all -k dr
 mv /tmp/file /tmp/foo/file
 rm -Rf /tmp/foo

This patch fixes the issue by introducing struct audit_watch_ctx to pass
the fsnotify event context down to audit_alloc_mark(). By utilizing the
already-resolved directory inode provided by the event, we bypass the
kern_path_parent() path resolution entirely, safely avoiding the
recursive lock. Furthermore, it explicitly allows duplicate fsnotify
marks (allow_dups = 1) during the rename update, allowing the new rule's
mark to safely coexist with the old rule's mark until the old rule is
freed.

P.S.: This issue was identified and reproduced during a comprehensive
code coverage analysis of the audit subsystem. The full report is
available at the link below:

https://people.redhat.com/rrobaina/audit-code-coverage-analysis.pdf

P.P.S: With the permission of both Ricardo and Nathan, I've squashed a
fixup patch from Nathan that addresses a compile time error when
CONFIG_AUDITSYSCALL=n.
