Mathematics undergraduate at USP, working in data engineering and interested in mathematical modeling, statistical inference, scientific computing, systems, and reverse engineering.
Most of my reverse-engineering work is around networks: undocumented protocols, traffic analysis, and client-server behavior. I also work with binaries, game internals, anti-cheat systems, software protection, and cracking. Much of this work grew through Dark Seal, a reverse-engineering and software research collective focused largely on the League of Legends ecosystem.
My engineering work has included ETL architectures, statistical data pipelines, distributed services, and high-concurrency systems. I have also done security research and responsible disclosure through HackerOne, involving Amazon, Riot Games, and Mercado Livre.
On the mathematical side, I am particularly interested in modeling, statistical inference, numerical methods, and high-performance scientific computing. I tend to gravitate toward problems where the underlying structure is not immediately visible, whether that means reconstructing a protocol from network traffic or extracting a useful model from data.
I like building projects from scratch and leaving them open. I believe knowledge should be free, and that code, documentation, and research become more useful when other people can inspect them, modify them, and continue from where you stopped.
There are two lines I keep coming back to:
After we leave, they will build schools and hospitals for you, and increase your wages. This is not because they have a conscience, nor because they have become good people, but because we have been here.
Outside research, I do competitive programming through GEMA and the SBC Programming Contest, read Drummond and Andy Weir, and keep finding new uses for Raspberry Pis.
