Official organization profile and community portal for the Libre Standard framework. Governed and maintained by the Libre Collective.
The primary mission of Libre Standard is to define, maintain, and publish open, predictable, and implementation-independent operational standards. Libre Standard provides universal specifications that establish clarity, consistency, and structural stability across organizations, software systems, and data environments.
The Libre Standard ecosystem hosts authoritative, version-controlled specifications designed to operate across any platform, cloud provider, or operating system. Each standard is developed openly and maintained in its own dedicated repository.
- LOGICS (Libre Operational and Governance Instructions for Company Structure): A modular, implementation-neutral directory and storage architecture standard. LOGICS defines a predictable, five-level structural hierarchy for company files, records, operational modules, and data environments. For a comprehensive overview, tutorials, and practical implementation guides, visit the LOGICS Overview Portal.
The Libre Collective actively researches and drafts additional open standards across digital asset naming, data governance, API interface conventions, and operational workflows. New standards are published to the organization as they reach formal draft status.
Libre Standard is developed through open collaboration, technical review, and community participation:
- Community Discussions: Join conversations, ask technical questions, propose standard enhancements, and participate in Request for Comments (RFC) processes in the Discussions Forum.
- Canonical Specifications and Source Code: Explore, audit, or clone authoritative standard specifications and reference implementations directly from the Libre Standard Organization Repositories.
- Documentation and Guides: Access detailed documentation, best practices, and integration examples on the Documentation Portal.

Individual standards published within the Libre Standard framework are independent works and are governed by their respective licenses, which are provided directly within their dedicated repositories.
The license of a particular standard should therefore be consulted when adopting, redistributing, or incorporating that standard into another project.
