I work at the intersection of data governance, digital service delivery, and public-sector technology.

I'm a Data Governance Strategist with CalData at the California Office of Data and Innovation, where I create, translate, and implement data and artificial intelligence governance standards as practical guidance, reusable tools, and measurable practices that departments can actually adopt. I care about government technology that works for the people it serves and that strengthens transparency, accountability, and democracy.

I earned my PhD in Environmental Science, Policy, and Management from UC Berkeley, where I was advised by Dr. Ted Grantham and worked in the UC Berkeley Freshwater Labs. Before joining CalData, I worked at the California Department of Water Resources on open science, generative AI in science, and data systems for aquatic ecology and environmental restoration. I bring a scientist's commitments to research, evidence, openness, and reproducibility to government data and technology work.
