• Your library sidebar on Desktop: the navigation rail becomes a sidebar. Navigation sits on top, and Your library below it keeps Favorite, Downloaded and Most Played pinned above your playlists, albums, artists and podcasts. Filter them by kind, search them, sort them by recent or by name, and fold the sidebar into a narrow strip. (#2725)
• Smart downloads (Android): keeps the 25, 50 or 100 songs you play most downloaded, refreshed once a day when you open the app on Wi-Fi. Songs you downloaded yourself are never removed, and turning it off removes only the songs it downloaded. Turn it on in Settings → Content; it needs Local tracking listening history. (#2662)
• YouTube comments: a Comments button in Now Playing, in all three player styles, opens the song's YouTube comments and their replies. Signed in, you can post, reply, and like or dislike comments. A timestamp in a comment jumps to that moment of the song. (#2666)
• Dislike on YouTube Music: signed in to YouTube, dislike the playing song from the ⋯ menu in Now Playing, so YouTube Music recommends it less. (#2667, #400)
• New Home header with a Create button: Home's top bar is one row. Your avatar opens a menu with the signed-in account and Notifications, followed by the All and Mood chips, a Create button and Settings. Create starts a new local playlist or a Listen Together room, and shows a dot while your room is live. The Welcome back greeting is gone. (#2677, #2727)
• Cached songs (Android): a Cached playlist in Library lists the songs held in full in the player cache that you have not downloaded, so you can see what plays offline. Remove a song from the cache from its menu. (4ac77133)
• Search in Add to playlist: the Add to playlist sheet has a search field that filters your local and YouTube playlists by name. (#2687)
• New app icon: a new icon on Android, Desktop and the store listing, with a round version for launchers that use round icons. (#2728)

• Home: with liquid glass on, the chips on Home, Library and Search turn to glass. YouTube's own background picture sits behind the first shelf, the glow at the top fades without creases, shelves headed with your own avatar, such as Listen again, show just their name, Your daily discover titles use the section-title size, and section titles keep one height with or without More or Play all. • Home on Desktop: hovering a card zooms its artwork inside its frame, and a wider window shows more large cards in Your daily discover. (#2726)
• Dark theme: pages use a dark grey tinted by your theme colour instead of pure black, and the glass, selection bars, loading chips, navigation rail and launch screen follow it. (#2685)
• Radio names: a radio started from a song is named after it, for example "Blinding Lights" Radio, and the player's top bar shows Radio/Mix instead of Now Playing while a radio or mix plays. (#2672, #2673)
• Recently Added removed: the Recently Added screen is gone, along with its History button on Home and its link from Analytics. (#2686)
• Fullscreen lyrics: the side-by-side landscape layout is kept for Desktop. On a phone or tablet turned sideways, the lyrics page keeps its usual layout. (#2675)
• Apple Music player (Android): the artwork starts below the status bar, and its top edge fades into the artwork's own colours. (141d472a)

• Crash when linking Spotify or signing in to Discord on a page with no cookie. Devices that cannot create a WebView show Unavailable instead of crashing. (#2624, #2669)
• Log-in pages freezing the app on low-memory phones. If the page stops working, you can retry. (#2669)
• Failed downloads being reported as finished, so on Desktop the song showed as downloaded. (core#41)
• Android: downloading a live broadcast saved a file that was not the song. Download is now disabled for live broadcasts. (11caa13e)
• Add to queue doing nothing when the queue was empty. It now starts a new queue and plays it. (#2596)
• Android Auto: the shuffle button looked the same whether shuffle was on or off. (#2618)
