Before: the app is called MAX Finder, a name tied to one SNCF pass, while it is growing to cover Interrail and more. The build still serves its files from /MAX-Finder/, so since the repository rename the live site loads a page whose scripts and styles all 404.

After: the app is called Railmap, with the tagline "Railmap: every train, every pass". The site is built for https://offware-apps.github.io/Railmap/, which matches the repository's new name, so merging this brings the live site back. The README is rewritten in a usual layout: what it does, supported passes, screenshots, getting started, how it works, mobile app, data API, contributing, license.

Old /MAX-Finder/ and /PassFinder/ links need a separate redirect page, because GitHub does not redirect Pages URLs after a rename. That is set up outside this repository.

How

  • Name. "MAX Finder" becomes "Railmap" in the page title and meta tags, every locale's appName and update message, the About line, the calendar export, the PWA manifest, the Android label, the F-Droid and fastlane metadata, llms.txt, api.json and the docs. "MAX JEUNE" and "MAX SENIOR" stay wherever they name the pass. The structured data keeps "MAX Finder" as an alternateName so search engines link the two.
  • Path. /MAX-Finder/ becomes /Railmap/ in the Vite base, the manifest, the 404 page, the service worker comments, the local test servers and every site link. GitHub links point to offware-apps/Railmap.
  • Kept on purpose. The Android application id org.maxfinder.app, the MAXFINDER_* signing variables and the max-finder keystore alias stay as they are. Changing the id would make Android treat it as a new app, and existing installs would stop getting updates.
  • README. Interrail is listed as in progress with a link to Add Interrail as a pass and read timetables from train-api #83, since it is not on main yet.
  • Not changed. docs/trip-redesign.md describes an old bug about the "MAX Finder" placeholder screen and keeps that wording.

This touches the locale files, README.md, llms.txt and api.json, which #83 and #97 also change, so whichever merges second needs a small rebase.

Checks

npm run build, npm test (216 passed), npm run verify and npm run test:e2e (24/24) pass. The built index.html loads its assets from /Railmap/.

Railmap: every train, every pass. The app now covers more than the MAX
passes, so the name no longer names one.

GitHub Pages will serve the site under /Railmap/ once the repository is
renamed to Railmap. Move the build base, manifest, service worker, 404 page
and site links to that path, rename the app in every locale, the Android
label and the store metadata, and rewrite the README.

The Android application id (org.maxfinder.app) and the keystore alias stay
as they are so existing installs keep upgrading.

The red test check is the e2e scenario "history: Back closes an open dialog first". It isn't caused by this PR. The same scenario fails the same way on #97's run from 18:51 today, which still builds under /MAX-Finder/ and has none of this rename. Locally it passes 3 times out of 3 on this branch. No fix exists yet, so I'm re-running the failed job once.
