Problem
The hosted
ubuntu-latestrunner now resolves to Ubuntu 26.04, which the pinned Playwright 1.53.1 cannot use:Error: Playwright does not support chromium on ubuntu26.04-x64This blocks the OIDC/proxy-OIDC/TOTP matrix profiles before their tests start and fails the framework quality gate's browser-context isolation test, including PR #54.
Evidence:
Changes
Pin
ubuntu-24.04in the three browser-capable jobs:Keep all other jobs, assertions, dependencies and workflow permissions unchanged. No Playwright upgrade or test skipping.
Validation
./gradlew --no-daemon spotlessCheck validateChangelogStyle— passed.python3 -m unittest discover -s scripts/tests -p 'test_*.py'— 47 passed.git diff --check— clean.Hosted-runner validation is provided by this PR's CI. The scheduled matrix itself is not rerun locally.
Rollout / scope
Merge this independently before updating PR #54 from main. A plain rerun of the old PR workflow would still use its old runner configuration; the branch must receive the fix.
This only addresses the Ubuntu/Playwright incompatibility. SSH URL-mapping, LDAP email-conflict and GHCR cleanup failures remain separate issues.
