Microsoft retired the standalone Whiteboard apps on 16 October 2026. The site still said "retires" and "export before 16 October".

  • site/index.html: the notice invites people who exported a board to open the ZIP; the launch caption and alt text say "retired"; the guide link describes opening an export.
  • site/compare.html: "retired".
  • site/export-microsoft-whiteboard.html: title, description, and lede describe opening an exported board; the "What changed" section is in the past tense; the export steps say they were the Windows app's until 16 October.
  • Both hero SVGs: alt text in the past tense. The drawn dates are quotes of the announcement and stay.

… passed

The home page, the compare page, the export guide, and the artwork alt
text said the app retires on 16 October 2026 and asked for exports
before then. They now say it retired on that date, that a ZIP exported
before then opens here, and that the export steps were the Windows
app's until that date. The artwork itself is unchanged: its dates are
quotes of the announcement.

Since 20 October, every restore of `SQLBI.Whiteboard.Export` fails:
DocumentFormat.OpenXml 3.5.1 (the latest) pulls in
System.Security.Cryptography.Pkcs 8.0.1, which NuGet's audit flags for
[GHSA-846f-f764-76mx](GHSA-846f-f764-76mx)
and
[GHSA-2fmv-rv2c-59x7](GHSA-2fmv-rv2c-59x7),
and the repository treats warnings as errors. This blocks every pull
request, including #185.

The Export project now references the package directly at 10.0.13, the
patched version on the .NET 10 line. A direct reference takes precedence
over the transitive one. `dotnet build Whiteboard.sln -c Release`
succeeds and the Core smoke tests pass locally.
