AbleNet IR Bridge

This repository contains code for an Arduino UNO to expand the functionality of the AbleNet Powerlink 4. AbleNet manufactures adaptive technologies. At some point, no product exists for a person's specific needs. This code and hardware project were meant to help another person control an AbleNet Powerlink 4 using IR signals.

Setup

The AbleNet Powerlink 4 utilizes aux connectors to connect to switches or other trigger devices. When two of the connections on the aux cable are shorted, the device activates. To be able to control this device, a transistor may be set up and connected to the Arduino; please observe the code for the pins. (A schematic may be made at some point) At this point, anything that an Arduino can do (almost anything) can activate the device as if it were simply another peripheral. In this specific case, a low-cost IR remote receiver is also connected to the Arduino. When the desired signal is received from the person's adaptive device, it triggers the Powerlink.
