PRs 516 and 517 each failed test + clippy three times at the doctest link step: rust-lld died with SIGBUS (ld terminated with signal 7 [Bus error]) and five or six doctests reported Couldn't compile the test. No assertion failed. PRs 515 and 519 and main passed on the same runners.

CI built with full debuginfo. On 2026-10-04 a local debug build of the kernel tests reached about 210 GiB, against about 30 GiB without debuginfo. A runner has about 14 GB free. lld writes its output through a memory map, and a full disk turns the write into SIGBUS. Each of the two failing PRs adds a test binary, which fits as the last straw. This is a hypothesis; the log has no disk figure.

The workflow now sets CARGO_PROFILE_DEV_DEBUG=0 and CARGO_PROFILE_TEST_DEBUG=0, and prints df and the target size after the tests so the next run confirms or refutes it. The first run is a cold build because the cache key changes. Remove the disk step once the numbers are seen.

PRs 516 and 517 each failed `test + clippy` three times at the doctest
link step: rust-lld died with SIGBUS (`ld terminated with signal 7
[Bus error]`) and five or six doctests reported `Couldn't compile the

CI built with full debuginfo. On 2026-10-04 a local debug build of the
kernel tests reached about 210 GiB, against about 30 GiB without
debuginfo. A runner has about 14 GB free. lld writes its output through
a memory map, and a full disk turns the write into SIGBUS. Each of the
two failing PRs adds a test binary, which fits as the last straw.

The workflow now sets CARGO_PROFILE_DEV_DEBUG=0 and
CARGO_PROFILE_TEST_DEBUG=0, and prints `df` and the target size after
the tests so the disk theory is checked on the next run. Remove the
disk step once the numbers are seen.

The df/du step was added in #520 to measure disk use while CI linker
crashes (SIGBUS) were investigated. The crashes stopped once debuginfo
was turned off, and the run after that fix showed 75G free, so the step
no longer answers a question. Remove it.

The --plan sample output in docs/EMBEDDING.md showed kaish_version
0.18.0. Show 0.18.1.

No code or behavior change, so no changelog entry.
