Changes

  • Turns on the Discord assistant by setting DISCORD_GUILD_ID (the Astro server), DISCORD_ALLOWED_ROLE_IDS (Core and Maintainer), and DISCORD_PUBLIC_KEY in wrangler.jsonc.
  • Stops requesting the privileged Message Content intent. Discord won't let us enable it for this application without a review, and asking for an intent that isn't enabled makes Discord refuse the Gateway connection (close code 4014). Mentions still work without it, because Discord always includes the text of messages that mention the bot. The trade-off: until the intent is approved, the assistant only sees the messages that mention it, not the rest of the thread. The skill now tells the agent to ask for missing context.
  • Once the intent is approved, enabling the full thread transcript means adding 1 << 15 back to GATEWAY_INTENTS.

Testing

  • No test changes; the Gateway tests read GATEWAY_INTENTS from the module.

Docs

  • The README's Discord setup now says mentions need no privileged intent and explains how to enable full thread context later.

…tent

Set the Astro server, the Core and Maintainer roles, and the interactions
public key. Stop requesting the privileged Message Content intent, which
needs Discord's review for this application; Discord still includes the
content of messages that mention the bot, so mentions work without it.
