Adding a Mate stalled on "Building the container" until a reload. It happened live on 2026-10-01, for about 17 minutes. The browser never saw the container come up, so the steps after it never ran, and the Mate never got its Git access.

Cause: pass 26 hands a project that the organization's live list names, but that the grant doesn't hold, to the grant as "someone else's" (holdListedProjects → unheldListedProjects).

  • That also caught the person's own just-created project, and moved it onto that path.
  • On that path, the project left the runtime's grant and its inventory until its own read answered.
  • A project the platform is still creating never answers that read.

Fix: a project that this tab's own command established is no longer offered as listed, so it keeps its grant and inventory. A project someone else creates still takes the listed path.

Test: a new lifecycle test, which failed before the fix: the tab creates a project, the platform answers not-found while it is still being created, and then the list names it. The project now stays in the grant and the inventory throughout.

…path for someone else's

Add a Mate, live: the tab's own creation established the project, then the
organization's live list named it and it was handed to the grant as a project
someone else created. Held unverified, it left the runtime's grant and was not
demanded until its own read answered, which a project the platform is still
creating does not do, so the arrival page never saw its container come up and
the birth's later steps never ran until a reload. A project this tab's command
established is no longer offered as listed: it keeps its grant and inventory.
