feat(windows): Explorer verbs hand the whole selection to one process - #25
"Play with QuickPlay" / "Add to QuickPlay playlist" were command-line verbs ("exe" --enqueue "%1", MultiSelectModel=Player). Explorer started one waveflow-quickplay.exe per selected file: 2000 processes for a 2000-file selection, about 17 s of spawning for 1000. The single-instance socket merged them, but only after every one of them had started.
Change
The verbs are now DropTarget verbs backed by QuickPlay as a per-user COM local server:
--register writes two classes under HKCU\Software\Classes\CLSID\{…}\LocalServer32 (the executable itself, so no administrator rights), and on every audio extension and on Directory a shell\<verb>\DropTarget with CLSID= in place of command. It deletes the 1.2.0 command keys so an upgrade cannot keep them. --unregister removes the classes too.
When a verb is chosen, COM starts QuickPlay once with -Embedding. The new src/drop_verb.rs serves the two classes (Play, Enqueue) from an MTA on a thread of its own, so winit's OLE on the main thread is left alone. It reads the selection through SHCreateShellItemArrayFromDataObject, withdraws the classes, then hands the paths to the usual start path: ipc::send to the running player, or a window of its own. A launch nobody drops on exits after 30 s.
Folders get the same verb. That removes the 15-item limit the default Document model put on them.
"Open with" keeps its command line.
Dependency: the windows 0.62 crate (+ windows-core for #[implement]). cpal already builds it, so the only new feature is Win32_System_Ole.
Docs: docs/ARCHITECTURE.md, README.
Verification (Windows 11)
The verb was invoked the way Explorer does it, outside Claude's packaged context: one IContextMenu over the whole selection (GetUIObjectOf with every child PIDL), then InvokeCommand. The number of waveflow-quickplay.exe processes was counted, and the receiving player's log was read.

A right-click in the real Explorer UI. The test drives the same shell context-menu code without a mouse.
Whether a window started cold by COM comes to the foreground. COM, not Explorer, starts the process, so it may open behind the active window.
The NSIS installer was not rebuilt. It only runs --register / --unregister, which keep their contract.
Notes
This branch is cut from main and does not include the uncommitted strict single-instance work in the main checkout (src/ipc.rs, src/main.rs::single_instance). The two touch different hunks of main.rs and docs/ARCHITECTURE.md.
A selection over ipc::MAX_PATHS (10 000) is still refused by the hand-off, as before.

"Play with QuickPlay" and "Add to QuickPlay playlist" were command-line
verbs with MultiSelectModel=Player: Explorer started one QuickPlay per
selected file, a thousand processes for a thousand files, merged by the
single-instance socket only after each had started.
They are now DropTarget verbs. Each names a COM class registered per user
(HKCU\Software\Classes\CLSID\{...}\LocalServer32, the executable itself,
no administrator rights). Explorer has COM start QuickPlay once with
-Embedding and drops the whole selection on the class as one data object,
with no limit on its size. src/drop_verb.rs serves the two classes (play,
add to playlist) from a multithreaded apartment on a thread of its own,
so winit keeps the main thread for OLE, reads the paths through
SHCreateShellItemArrayFromDataObject, withdraws the classes and hands the
paths to the usual start: over the socket to the running player, or a
window of its own. A launch nobody drops on exits after thirty seconds.
Folders get the same verb, which lifts the 15-item limit the default
Document model put on them. Registration deletes the command keys of
earlier versions, so an upgrade does not keep the per-file command, and
--unregister removes the classes. "Open with" keeps its command line.
The windows crate (0.62, already built for cpal) supplies the COM
interfaces and #[implement]; only Win32_System_Ole is a new feature.
Measured on Windows 11 through the shell's context menu (IContextMenu over
the whole selection, the code Explorer runs): 1200 files, 1000 files of
three types, or 20 folders each start one process and arrive as one
message, about half a second after the verb is invoked.

Layer / File(s)
Summary

Lorsque drop_verb::receive() retourne Mode::Enqueue, args.enqueue reste false.

docs/ARCHITECTURE.md: the strict single-instance paragraph is kept; its
reason now names what still starts one process per file (a Linux file
manager, Explorer's "Open with"), since Explorer's own verbs start one
since #25.
