feat: count taps to sign in for each type of device - #1217
Phones convert about 3× less than desktop, and we can't tell whether phone visitors don't tap "Sign in" or tap it and give up at GitHub (not signed in on their phone, 2FA, in-app browsers).
This sends a signin-click Fathom event on any tap that leaves to sign in (links, and buttons like star or reply as a guest). "Conversion by device" now shows each device's taps and how many of them finished signing up.
The numbers above are sample data. Taps start counting once this ships.

New Features
Visitor analytics now records sign-in link taps alongside guest visits and signups.
Device conversion metrics now show visitor, sign-in tap, and signup counts, plus the share of sign-in taps that led to signups.
The signup-to-tap share may exceed 100% for date ranges that include signups recorded before sign-in tap tracking began.

Walkthrough
The change tracks sign-in taps as a Fathom event, adds tap counts to device conversion data, and displays the counts and completion share in operations metrics.
Matching login-link clicks send the signin-click event. signIn also tracks a tap before navigating to the login URL. The knowledge base lists the event.
Add tap counts to device conversion app/Queries/ProductFunnelQuery.php, resources/js/types/operations.ts, tests/Unit/Queries/ProductFunnelQueryTest.php
The query includes tap counts alongside visitors and signups, and returns null if any dataset is unavailable. The device conversion type and tests include the new count.
Display and document tap metrics resources/js/pages/operations/metrics.tsx, PRODUCT_METRICS.md
The operations metrics page displays device tap counts and the share that completed sign-in. Product metrics documentation describes the event and the tap completion calculation.
Architecture concerns
No architecture-level concerns identified.

Before / after behavior
observed — Modified behavior in app/Queries/ProductFunnelQuery.php: The DeviceConversion type adds the required integer tapped field.
observed — Modified behavior in app/Queries/ProductFunnelQuery.php: The event documentation now includes sign-in taps, and the new private SIGN_IN_TAP_EVENT constant is set to signin-click.
observed — Modified behavior in app/Queries/ProductFunnelQuery.php: The device-conversion documentation adds sign-in taps and sign-in abandonment. The method now fetches tap counts between visitor and signup counts; it returns null if any of the three datasets is unavailable, otherwise emits each device’s visitor, tapped, and converted counts, including devices appearing in any dataset.
observed — Modified behavior in resources/js/lib/auth.ts: Adds an import of trackSignInTap from @/lib/analytics.
