Japanese, Hindi and Tamil use the pinned multilingual Whisper Turbo engine, including Auto candidate sets. Existing Parakeet languages retain their default engine. Recording, Setup tests and file imports capture their starting language so a later Settings change cannot reroute an in-flight take. Prepared engines remain available to older queued requests, and stale preparation callbacks cannot replace the current engine state.
Settings marks the new languages Beta, explains the separate 1.6 GB model and unavailable live words, and preserves the saved live-word preference. Language documentation separates development support from released 0.6.0 support.
Local verification: all 2,711 CI-equivalent tests passed; exact-count Swift coverage is 38,237/47,757 lines (80.07%). Warnings-as-errors build, strict formatting and docs build passed. Cached-model production checks passed 15 explicit-language, 3 Auto and 3 file inputs. Both Settings themes were inspected. Synthetic speech does not establish fluent-speaker or physical microphone acceptance. The native source, tests, scripts, package and docs are identical to the verified candidate after reconstruction onto current dev; both website fixes remain intact. Fresh strict formatting and the pre-push warnings-as-errors build passed.
