This proves the one-step deletion-charge inequality used in Appendix A.2. For a width j, let E be the root-absent clauses present before the step but absent afterward, and let I be the actual payload absent from BOTH the current node and root. Then

This is the deletion part of the recurrence, not the full higher-width insertion-event balance. #1265 is now merged into main; this PR is refreshed onto actual main with the parent source unchanged. The new source is 138 lines with 169 lines of controls plus one aggregate import.

Source: pinned manuscript, Appendix A.2, printed p.46, Lemma A.3 proof and (A.3): “assign that deletion to one newly introduced strict subset contained in it.” The public theorem uses actual countingChild steps, positive thresholds, both Choice priorities and root reducedness. Current reducedness gives a strict-subclause donor. A separate proved invariant derives a CURRENT subclause of every ROOT clause directly from reduction, so a root donor would contradict current reducedness. The donor is therefore new and marked. #1265's proved pre-step marked-present bound supplies the charge limit internally; no target bound is assumed. Finite-union and width-fiber counts finish the inequality.

The B-child's added negated units remain in the actual payload. A control has an unselected marked clause with NO petal donor, deleted only by the negated unit. Full legal two-step paths check both A/B charges, initial-root exclusion, zero unit deletions and root witnesses. An Empty zero-prefix control needs no inhabitance. A separate reduced, full-Choice tautological root has four new higher-width payload clauses but only three afterward: this confirms that immediate survival/nontautology is a necessary separate formal link before claiming the full insertion balance. The manuscript already excludes tautologies; this is not a claimed flaw in its argument.

No nontautology is needed for deleting clauses already present before this step. This PR does not prove immediate survival of new higher-width clauses, the full T_j recurrence, depth/B-step/leaf bounds or native costs. It introduces no tree datatype, potential, native algorithm or decision-Refines assumption. Existing source, models, encodings and selected abstract meanings are unchanged.

Focused source and concrete controls pass warning-strict (2012/2014 jobs), hygiene/check-simp and diff checks pass. One default-six local campaign plus fresh native update/check (896 statements / 132 modules, unchanged), changed-file lint and hygiene passed at preserved 9889cf3dc. Corrected head 7957fa8a3 changes only the module-doc subsection label A.3→A.2, with all declaration/proof/test bytes unchanged. Focused source/tests and the required compiled-output refresh pass; normal changed-file lint and hygiene/check-simp pass without a stale-output bypass. No second local six-gate campaign was run. Frozen-head hosted CI passes at 7957fa8a3. The payload-only actual-main refresh is now published at 22399fc03a8d03313ff5dd6649529047ee8d502d: all three patches and complete source/test blobs are unchanged. Fresh new-head hosted CI is running; independent public-source/API/mathematics review remains required.
