feat(Classes/CountingSimulation): conditional assembly of the counting simulation (#1833 E1) - #1865
Conversation
…ounting simulations Nat.SqrtLog: estimates for the scale n / Nat.sqrt (Nat.log 2 n): it dominates the logarithm and the number of HPV time blocks, scales linearly, is monotone up to constants, and bounds the cost 3^(K q) (t+1)^d 2^(e t/sqrt log t) of the counting simulation by 2^(C T / sqrt log T) for t = c T; plus absorption of constants. Nat.ResidueSum: streamed sums modulo m and exact recovery of a count below m. Tests compare the natural scale with the real n / sqrt(log2 n). E1 groundwork for #1833. …g simulation (#1833 E1) The deterministic simulation of #1833, assembled from two stated interfaces: a network family (the block-counting step, H3) and a contraction algorithm (Theorem D.1 with l = 1, T2). Conditional on both. - Accumulate: streamed sum modulo a computed modulus over a binary index (IndexFold), with a native time/space certificate. - Interfaces: blocking parameters, ContractionAlgorithm, NetworkFamily. - Assembly: simulate, simulate_eq, exists_computableInO_simulate and exists_computableInO_count (time 2^(C T/sqrt(log T)), space T^d). - Tests: concrete sums and parameters, toy instances of both interfaces. … unary A comparison such as 2^τ < 2·count is polynomial-time only with τ in unary; τ ≤ 2t keeps the rule's input polynomial in the clock. Add a test applying the endpoint with the strict-majority rule. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com> Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_015DLg8kwPs8yi7ePPdtoNvG

reviewer-codex-edemaine: APPROVE at f6b09bf (independent agent review, not human approval).
Read the complete five-file own layer above merge 2ef66fe, including the final unary-rule change, and the actual NativeCertificate/IndexFold/constructibility definitions. Interface constants and the realizing machines precede runtime inputs. The binary index and accumulator invariant justify workspace independent of the schedule count; the final-prefix branch avoids requiring a term bound outside the summed indices. The guard supplies admissibility and P≤2t, while modulus 2^(paddedTime+1) recovers counts ≤2^paddedTime. Clock preparation, output encoding and rule costs are charged; time and space remain independent. Toy instances satisfy both interfaces, and the unary-clock majority client exercises the intended rule API.
Checked Theorem D.1 in the pinned PDF, p.53. Scope limitation for the future T2 proof: this interface requires space polynomial in encoded (P,G) length, whereas the source states polynomial in s plus description length. Supplying that interface requires justification for the chosen encoding. This approval covers the explicitly conditional assembly, not discharge of H3/T2 or the class containments. No curated-abstract impact.
Canonical aggregate and whitespace pass; independent small arithmetic checks cover padding and modular accumulation. Author reports all six gates at 4fe3398; the final unary-rule revision adds a checked client but has no separate full local validation record. At inspection title passed; Lean CI 41139916943, Guide and Comparator were running. No local Lean build by this reviewer.

Expanding the affine factors of each block of row ports in its modes and summing the bits of each group independently writes the deformed contraction F(W) as a sum, over exponent tuples, of products over the groups of the contractions of child networks on {v // group v = g} ⊕ P. With mode coefficients divisible by π ^ w Z and π ^ p = 0, only tuples of total weight below p remain: the child identity (D.16) of OpenAI2026ETH, §D.4.5–§D.4.6, pp. 62–63. For a packing oriented in coordinate i and a grid point of valuation i, this gives a ModeSplitting of the Cauchy matrix at T = t + a z, with one mode per packet, tile and b, and the child identity (D.16) for it. Both `GaloisRing` and `AdjoinRootValuation` import it, so the coordinate valuation no longer depends on Galois rings, ring interpolation or the finite-field identification. Names are unchanged; `GaloisRing` re-exports the module publicly. Addresses the placement finding of reviewer-codex-edemaine on cslib-community#1859. Children lifted by finLift keep this guard (rowsToColumnsLE_finLift_child). ScheduledRecursion.lean defines the schedule of call parameters (leaf iff M ≤ leafSize s, a = slotBits, u = taper, h = ⌈3M/u⌉, Δ = degreeBound) and, at an active call with ActiveBounds, the per-call facts a runtime certificate needs: the call is callValue, its children have at most M/16 edges and precisions within the schedule, and the mode count (D.15). This adds the explicit evaluation formula on the packet data and proves that it is the entry of the child network of `cauchyModeSplitting`: * `listCoeff`: coefficient extraction along a list of factors, equal to the sum over all choices (`sum_eq_listCoeff`) and to `blockCoeff` for any mode splitting and any order of the rows (`blockCoeff_eq_listCoeff`); * `packetEntry` and its terms, with `packetTensor_cauchyModeSplitting` and `child_tensor_inr_cauchyModeSplitting`; * `map_packetEntry`: the formula commutes with ring homomorphisms when 2 is nilpotent, so an evaluation in A_p transfers to the recursion's quotients; * the field lemmas of `cauchyModeSplitting` beyond side/group/packet. Conditional milestone of #1833 (E1). This PR assembles the deterministic counting simulation from two stated interfaces. Every result here assumes a network family (H3, the block-counting step) and a contraction algorithm (T2, Theorem D.1 with ℓ = 1). Neither is proved yet. This does not complete E1; the final assembly discharges the two hypotheses once H3 and T2 land.
