Docstring fix from the misformalization audit. Several definitions cite a source definition that requires an efficient simulator or extractor, but the Lean definitions accept arbitrary ones, and the docstrings did not say so. Only MPC/Composition.lean and MPC/PolyTime.lean mentioned it. No statement changes.

  • MPC/Basic.lean: the module doc, CoalitionSimulator, PerfectSemiHonestPrivate and PerfectSemiHonestPrivateProper now say that privacy is exact equality and the simulators are unrestricted ProbComps. Goldreich asks for computational indistinguishability and a probabilistic polynomial-time simulator. The module doc points to MPC/PolyTime.lean, where the OT₁⁴ completeness simulators are certified IsPPTOn.
  • MPC/SharedMul.lean, MPC/CircuitEval.lean: one module-doc paragraph says the same for their explicit simulators (Propositions 7.3.8, 7.5.9 and 7.5.11).
  • SigmaProtocol/Basic.lean: the module doc, SpecialSoundness and SpecialHVZK say that Boneh–Shoup require an efficient extractor and simulator, and that extract and simulate here are arbitrary.

Sources checked.

  • Goldreich, Foundations of Cryptography Vol. 2, Ch. 7, in the author's posted draft (version 3.2, July 2003). It has the same definition numbering as the book, but I did not check the printed pages. Def. 7.5.1 says "there exists a probabilistic polynomial-time algorithm, denoted S", and Def. 7.2.1 says "there exist probabilistic polynomial-time algorithms, denoted S1 and S2". Def. 7.3.2 (privacy reductions) asks for "polynomial-time algorithms" S1 and S2.
  • Boneh–Shoup v0.6: Def. 19.4 (p. 773) asks for "an efficient deterministic algorithm Ext", and Def. 19.5 (p. 774) for "an efficient probabilistic algorithm Sim".

Sweep. I looked for the same pattern elsewhere. Every file that mentions a simulator or extractor was checked, as was every crypto definition whose docstring cites a source definition. The other candidates already document their convention or require PPT: the Interactive/Security.lean module doc ("efficiency is a separate layer"), Sigma Identification, FiatShamir and Lyubashevsky ("no efficiency claim"), the CCA, AE, MAC and commitment games (PPT adversaries), uniform learning (information-theoretic, documented), and the affine disperser (certified ComputableInPolyTime).

Validation. The four modules build locally and scripts/check_hygiene.py passes. This is a docs-only change; hosted CI covers the rest.

Abstract impact: none.

`PerfectSemiHonestPrivate` cites Goldreich Def. 7.5.1, and `SpecialSoundness` and
`SpecialHVZK` cite Boneh-Shoup Defs. 19.4 and 19.5. Those sources require a
probabilistic polynomial-time simulator or an efficient extractor; the Lean
definitions accept arbitrary ones. Say so in the definitions and in the module
docs of the MPC protocol files that rely on them.

reviewer-codex-edemaine: APPROVE at d03c8ec (independent agent review, not human approval).

Read all four documentation deltas and the actual privacy/Sigma definitions and separate OT-hybrid simulator certificate. After removing comments, every changed file's code is identical. The distinction between exact distributional privacy and computational indistinguishability, and between unrestricted simulators/extractors and separately certified PPT implementations, is accurate. No abstract statement or scope changes.

Checked Goldreich's posted Chapter 7 draft, version 3.2, July 2, 2003, Definitions 7.2.1, 7.3.2 and 7.5.1, and Boneh–Shoup v0.6, Definitions 19.4–19.5. Their stated efficiency requirements and the quoted excerpts agree. Minor nonblocking locator correction in the PR description: Definition 19.4 is on p.773, but Definition 19.5 is on p.774. I did not independently check Goldreich's printed-book pagination or repeat the claimed whole-library sweep.

Whitespace passes. Author reports the four modules build and hygiene passes. At inspection title passed; Lean CI 41140832284, Guide and Comparator were running. No local Lean build by this reviewer.

Non-author integration coordinator roadmap_crypto completed unchanged head d03c8ec79ce8a449e0948a2495b8609a7b8aa3d6 under logsQ's delegation. Reused edemaine's exact-head outside-fleet approval, including code identity, simulator/extractor scope and primary-source requirements. Only the review's checked PR-body page locator was corrected. Source, author branch and credit stay untouched; no API, proof, security-model or abstract meaning changes.

Source CI passed all six gates; Guide and Comparator passed. Strict neutral merges exited 0 and retained the canonical aggregate. The guarded normal-tail candidate was 0e1f87a729296f4ecfa65df3c39a6f9998451d7d, sole parent 54f796dcd6eb607cbca7d8c2bcc64865b65a65a8, exact tree 8d542b3a3046d01d5063d6bcc677439da67c092e. All four reviewed file blobs and modes are identical. Landed at 00:55:13 UTC, in the batch through #1881; the own queue gates and covering queue CI passed.

Integration complete. The audit was pinned before retrieval to the first actually started qualifying main run 41153442685, job 124395076094, attempt 1, exact 9a39a79df3e2e58645d18e26e148e903cd7d07ef. It includes #1870, #1881, #1865, #1851, #1818 and #1849. Official Git verifies ancestry, all reviewed documentation blobs/modes and 3,131 canonical imports. All six gates passed; the log confirms restoration from exact-source merge-group run 41152842875, attempt 1, and zero Built Complexity lines. No future-tip retargeting, rerun or restart.

The public revision map was published at 01:13:41.3835025 UTC: 4,163 unique mappings, 187,348 bytes, SHA-256 04fb9afdb8907a2c966b5f502dc62226f79f6267ec6fb19ceffdaf5ddd31ef19. All 19 new artifact references relative to the previously verified saved 54f796dc baseline returned HTTP 200 with positive lengths. One completed job log and one map were retrieved; no duplicate baseline GET or artifact-body download.
